Medal of Honor Open Beta Client Now Available

DICE have released the open beta client for the multiplayer component of Medal of honor, EA's latest entry into the very competitive military first person shooter genre.

The 1.58GB game client can be found locally here on AusGamers files and offers a chance for any interested parties to check this one out on PC ahead of release in a couple of weeks.

Start Date: October 4 | End Date: October 7, 11:59 PDT

Grab your MREs and prepare to spend four days playing two new maps and modes for the multiplayer version of Medal of Honor. Anyone can download and play. All that is required is an EA Account when you launch the game and to accept the beta agreement.

If you already have the Medal of Honor Closed Beta game client (from this past June's Beta) installed on your machine, then uninstall that before installing the Open Beta game client.

In order to see pings in the server browser, you need to run the program as Administrator.

For Aussies, that translates to -- Start Date: October 5, End 06:00 October 8 AEST.

Medal of Honor is due for a simultaneous launch on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation on October 14 2010.

I'll give OB a shot. Supposedly they fixed s***, but its DICE we're talking bout here. They can't even fix knifing in BFBC2.

I was told that they have changed a lot of things in this game, but I can't see how any number of changes can fix this pos.

Anyone know if the steam beta is the latest beta version??

Yeah the one on Steam is the beta that starts on October 4.

This is absurd.

I hate this s*** where you have to create an accout and sign in and s***. And then when you do it says Beta is not currently open try again later.

Its a bit more intense than the other modern combat shooters out there I think. I say a cross between BFBC2 and MW2. Longest i played was 2 rounds before getting dc'd. If you do get dc'd you lose your points accumulated.

BFBC2 > MoH it seems. Plus the server browser is worse than BC2 at the same time.

After midnight using the auto-join I had about 15 rounds and I liked it. pwned on pretty much every round.
