That's what the internet says, and we all know the internet is always right. Well, actually, it is educated speculation based on a few things such as BioWare's most recent twit (or is that a tweet?)
"2morrow will be a great day for BioWare fans. Just sayin'"
(Oh dear lord, and I thought they were an educated dev studio with a full grasp on the English language). And a not-so-subtle mention of what's in development at BioWare at the moment within a recent EA press release, has also added plenty of speculative fuel to the Dragon Age 2 fire (breath).
"... include the development of ongoing downloadable content for Mass Effect 2, one of the highest rated video games of all time, Dragon Age 2, the highly anticipated sequel to 2009's "RPG of the Year" Dragon Age: Origins, and the story-driven massively multiplayer online game, Star Wars: The Old Republic."
EA also mentioned the game was being developed some time ago, while BioWare's Dr Greg mentioned earlier in the year that a sequel would look "super hot" (and so it damn well should).

It's a bit of a no-brainer, and personally I'd rather hear news regarding Mass Effect 3, but Dragon Age fans will likely be dancing a jig at the news, so stay tuned to AusGamers for news of this "great day" when it arrives.

They're not just talking about the latest Dragon Age DLC which was just announced? Leiliana's Song or something?

A Jade Empire 2 announcement would be nice but pretty sure they said they weren't considering working on that until SWTOR got released.

Sigh I just finished ME2 this morning, DA: Awakening a few weeks ago, and DA before that. Won't bioware just let me own my life for a short period of time.

Well they had 3 dev teams working on three top-shelf games simultaneously (Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age and Star Wars the Old Republic), so it stands to reason that they have at least 1 unannounced title brewing (in addition to Mass Effect 3, which is a given as it's been an intended trilogy from the get go).

If it is Dragon Age 2, I hope that at least they adopt the Mass Effect dialogue system, it works so much better.

they need to give your character a voice like in mass effect too.

it has to be da2 since theyve said in the past that theyve planned a trilogy.

I hope they make the combat a lot more fun like they managed in ME2 as well. I keep trying to get back into it to finish off my character but the combat is just so tedious.

PC, it's their first game in a while where they've catered to the PC over the consoles. Plays somewhat more like the old isometric rpgs, where you can easily scroll out with the mouse wheel for tactical control. It doesn't really challenge you to use it though, the only difficulties are the occasional tank/healing fight and when god damn drakes jump you in the mountain.

PC. The console versions f*****g suck. DA2 would be sweet as, loved the first one but haven't played awakening yet.. But i would be more exciting if they were planning a KOTOR 3 to be released simultaneously with The Old Republic. I would cum.

Re-roll Bloodmage/arcane warrior. I can solo anything the game throws at me haha.

heh horses for courses... i rekn the combat in mass effect 2 is a bit gumby n tedious... too much hidng & ducking for cover & not enough mad fps skillz chaarging :p although i did get a bit tired of the combat in dragon age:origins as well... but it was nearer the end of the game where i had sussed out all the combo spells.

i'm still very impressed with how mass effect 2 looks... so shiny & clean! makes me wanna squeeze miranda's hexagons :D i actually liked the mining at first... but after about 10planets the sound they have for it became very annoying.

mining in mass effect 2 was super gay. the whole game just got turned into gears of effect.

Yeah can take them out no problems. Its so OP it almost takes the fun out of it. I havent quite finished my playthrough yet with my bloodmage/arc warrior but so far i've managed to solo broodmother, morigins mom, that drake ontop of the mountains etc.

I remember those revenants on my first play through, god they would rape my rogue + party so quickly.

awakening was so god damn short compared to DA i hope they at least increase the length of it

Yeah I rerolled my badly made rogue to a mage, was unstoppable. They nerfed some of the crushing prison/force field things's after I finished though. I really loved awakening once it got going, thought I got a good amount out of it.

Yeah that's why I said more fun. The first ME was heaps worse combat-wise and ME2 was a huge improvement but there is still a lot more that can be done. I think game play is Biowares weak link, storytelling, character development and the conversation mechanics are all above and beyond what other game companies come out with but their game play falls behind. I'm hoping there are improvements in DA2 to the extent there was between ME1 and ME2.

I played DA through and enjoyed it but wasn't happy with what my character ended up being and wanted to make it better for the expansion/sequels but the combat just isn't compelling enough for me to sit through it again. It's fine if you are into the story and the character development at the same time but when it comes to re-playability you rely solely on the game play to carry it. I was able to play through ME2 twice on the other hand.

Yep spot on. I'm worried if they don't improve with the old republic it's going to turn into a painful mmo experience that I'll still put up with to get through all the class stories.
