Can you write between 2,500 and 7,500 words? Do you regularly play games set in the WarCraft, StarCraft or Diablo universe? Do you ever wonder what would happen if
you controlled the narrative fate of the likes of Arthas or Zeratul? Well, Blizzard want you to tell them.
Do you dare test our judges' optic mettle, laying your ideas and dreams beneath their unblinking gaze? If so, submit a 2,500- to 7,500-word short story written in English and set in the Warcraft, StarCraft, or Diablo universe by August 23, 2010, and earn your chance to visit the Blizzard headquarters and meet the writers and staff behind the lore of Blizzard's games and books.
That's right, the 2010 Blizzard Global Writing Contest is upon us, and if you're unfamiliar with it, you can check out last year's winner
right here, but ultimately this is a fan-fiction contest
not set in the realms of so many other fanfic debauched tales, but rather those of creative gusto.
Please note: The competition is closed to residents of Victoria, Queensland and Australia's Capital Territory (this is the same for various other countries around the world).

"That bin over there is where we store all the original lore and that room is where we create the new lore conflicts with the old lore so we can keep the money coming in."
