i really want to go back and play the game, i loved it when it came out, but grew tired of it when alot of the problems were not getting resolved quick enough.

if they had some form of promo that allowed me to try out the exspansion for free for a week or 2 id give it a whirl to see if it still holds my interest

Have they fixed the original? Cause I don't want to slog my way through a s*** original game just to get to the good expansion.

I liked the art/music/environment of this game and the open pvp rules but I also remember being s***ted off with funcom all the time I was playing it for a bunch of reasons I now can't really remember. constant downtime in our peak period despite having oceanic-designated servers was one of them, and the stupid melee combo system which was just s*** with our latency was another

dx10 was promised and never delivered (though i believe a patch late last year fixed this), as was an xbox360 version of the game.. infact the first videos i saw of the game it was being run with the 360.

there was a heap of low level quests bugged for the first 4 months that were never fixed, some bizzare class balancing issues...

had it been delayed another 6months to polish some of the minor issues before release it may of had slightly better success...

its a shame cause im a big conan fan and was really looking forward to getting addicted to it.

They've merged the servers down to four also they no longer have Oceanic. Servers with an * were merged into the server above.

Set PvE

* Ironspine

Wiccana PvE

* Gwahlur (Oceanic)

Tyranny PvP

Cimmeria RP PvP

* Bloodspire
* Agony

Melee combo system hasn't changed much.

DX10 patch was February 09. Microsoft was/is the problem with the 360 version, happened to Star Trek Online as well.

Retarded memory leaks saw me playing constantly with picmip 16, oh and my character stuck sitting for 3 weeks kinda did it for me too

I think someone just needs to take it for the team and reactivate their account, play it, and give us a non-bias synopses.

It was the classic rushed out mmo that failed because it wasnt made by blizzard

I played for the first 4 months and quit due to horrible bugs, in saying that, the world PvP was easily the best since Ultima online. I just couldn't hack rangers.

I am happy to report after resubbing that the game is now nothing short of fantastic, none of the bugs that existed, no memory leaks and it looks like candy in dx10, and runs as smooth as a babys bottom to boot!

Tortage is still a little drawn out to me, but it's so worth it after. If you're a PvP guts like me, and you're after immense world PvP, amazing 1 on 1 encounters through the wild, or just all out faction based sieging, this is your game.

For the record, I'm an assassin on Tyranny (Pegspread).

Yeah was definitely a sub-par product.

Aside from the bugs, they just didn't have enough content (of all types). Levels 1-20 I really enjoyed, and I would recommend people play 1-20 and maybe a bit past 20 to see the cities. But past that the content just evaporated and scattered. It was really disappointing to have such a great start to a game, only to have it turn to s*** in the later levels.

I also remember items being a complete non-event. MMOs are all about the loot, so looking the same for 35 levels wasn't my idea of fun :/

The environments were pretty cool, their art team did a good job. And the night/day mechanic of levels 1-20 was well executed.

heh yeh items and stats were crazy, hard to tell whether the stats were doing anything and they were in crazily small %'s of 1 if I recall correctly

Yeah i think they made the stats that way to ensure that pvp was even - hardcore vs casual.

The lolest bug was that female toons hit slower then males because the speed was based of animation and females swung slower... made me f*****g lulz that they could have such dumb oversight.
