A new version of the free shooter Alien Arena has been released! The first in the Alien Arena 2010 series of releases, the new version (also called v7.40) has a bunch of new features:
- Five new maps!
- Two new weapon models.
- Improvements to the renderer.
- Security and memory bugfixes.
- A variety of gameplay changes and tweaks.
- Antilag bugfixes.
- Revamped menu.
Alien Arena is based on one of the open source id Software engines and is an attempt to recreate the fast-paced FPS action of Ye Awesome Olde Days. You can check out some of the action in the official trailer.

The new version is available for Windows and Linux (sorry Mac dudes, your version has been postponed).
