Reader Anthony writes to remind us that our Standing Committee of Attorneys-General (
SCAG) will be meeting tomorrow for the first time since last November.
While it's not listed on their site, one of the topics that will apparently be discussed is that little matter of the classification of video games in Australia and whether or not we're going to be getting an R18 rating in the near future.
Update: We contacted the office of the SCAG to find out if we could confirm whether R18 games are on the agenda - they've just gotten back to us to let us know that the agenda is actually confidential, and a "communique" will be released after the meeting (presumably with information about what was discussed). Further, in the comments, Crash has revealed that the NT AG will not be attending due to prior commitments - making it less likely that the R18 topic will be resolved at this meeting. Sad face.

Not all submitted discussion papers will be in favour.
The 'against' group is often as strong as the 'for' group. Be assured there's passion on both sides of this debate.
