Following information of the forming of Respawn Entertainment over at EA, built from ex-Infinity Ward heads, Vincent Zampella and Jason West, two other IW veterans, Jon Shiring and Mackey McCandlish - programmer and designer, respectively - have walked away from the company, who incidentally also follow two other walk-outs just over a week ago, in the resignations of Todd Alderman and Francesco Gigliotti - lead designer and engineer, also respectively.

Whether these guys will wind up at the new EA studio remains to be seen, but Activision's damage control department, most likely the highest paid department of the mega huge publisher, have quelled the resignations and maintained that "a deep bunch of proven talent" remains in the IW camp.

Activision also took a bit of a stab at the newly formed Respawn Studios saying "this agreement comes as no surprise to Activision given the myriad of improper activities detailed in the cross-complaint filed on Friday against Jason West and Vince Zampella", as noted over at Gamasutra.

hehe, good one.

Funny thing is, the system works really well. In months of playing the game, I hardley ever had any lag issues what so ever.

Now try playing a clan match, with some lame weapons disabled and everyone playing on a fair server. Try it with no ready up wait, no screen shots for score confirmation, or recording for disputes. Best system ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No lag woot.

For pub play I do mostly agree though, something like IWnet is fine. They could have supported both pretty easily though.

My favourite tactic was when I hosted a game I would start some uploads and downloads and have a good lol when the abuse flew my way.

As if you can't notice the massive drag you get if you are anything below the max bars.

Edit: sure it is decent for some default pub but you will never get any customisation at all. S*** you would expect in god damn CS is impossible with cod6 like automated pugs and server side mods.

If they did support both I reckon I'd still had played off dedicated servers, even if it took longer to get in to a game. I just f*****g hate playing on 150ms, especially after years and years of playing at 50ms MAX. I believe even with 4 green bars your ping can still be anywhere between 0-120ms.

4 more have quit:

The reported Infinity Ward departures are:

* Steve F**uda - Lead Designer
* Zied Reike - Lead Designer
* Rayme Vinson - Programmer
* Chris Cherubini - Lead Artist

This brings the total number of departures from Infinity Ward, including West and Zameplla, up to ten. No one has officially accepted positions with West and Zampella's Respawn Entertainment, but you can bet that you'll be reading that soon.

Bulls***.
Youve never fired 5 bullets into someones face, then seen on killcam you die without a shot being fired? Thats lag.
On a dedicated server, you could hit tab, see your high ping and find a better server.. on mw2 you just have to suck it up.

Haha! That sounds hilarious. Ruining people's online gaming experience sure can be a larf!

I do have lag issues with other users hosting, of course. But that only happens every now and then. Most of the time I have full bars, and its pretty smooth. I would rather dedicated though. But I have had fun with the system in place atm. It works to an extent, for public play. And it's nice I can play custom game with someone online.
