Blizzard have announced this year's BlizzCon event, to be held in California this year, October 22-23:
BlizzCon offers us a great opportunity to meet with our players and share our enthusiasm for gaming with one of the most passionate communities in the world, said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. Were looking forward to providing another great show filled with entertainment, competition, and the latest information about Blizzard Entertainment games.

Obviously the tension is building to a fever pitch as gamers eagerly sit back and wait for more details of when StarCraft 2 and Diablo 3 are going to hit the streets - I guess if we haven't heard by October we can hope for some big announcements then! We're hoping to have someone on the scene there again this year, so stay tuned!

Hoping they announce their new IP/new MMO at this one. Might even try and get to this one myself since I've been meaning to go to one for years. My passport expires at the end of this year and has never even been used so I'm determined I have to go on some kind of overseas trip this year, just to get some use out of it.

New MMO info. Cata will be out before then, and Diablo 3 news is stale like bale (s*** yeah i rhyme). SC2 will be news tastic in E3 and maybe some blizzconess

I doubt cataclysm will be out before then, but there probably wont be much to say about it by then cos it'll all be known.

It has to be khel. They can't keep people entertained with ICC, it's already old news with the increasing buff to dmg/heals. LK expansion is now year and half old. Their filler content is a dragon boss with 3 mini bosses like sarth. Thats not gonna keep people interested with the loot dropping from there being below par of ICC gear.

My reason for wanting to go into ICC was to fight the Lich King, I don't give a damn about the loot.

Unfortunately there aren't enough people who seem to feel that way.

I know that vis :P I'm just saying what they have atm and what they have planned before cata can not possibly keep us entertained until after october. And I remember seeing a quote from blizzcon 2009 was that we would be complaining about Goblin Rogues in this years blizzcon

Sc2 will be out before this blizzcon (chances are anyway) so hopefully its jammed packed with D3 and nothing else!

hmmmm, hardmodes? lol.
In the day people used to make up their own hardmodes, like 40 man shadowpriest to kill bosses in AQ etc. What happened wow :(
