If you're looking for more action in the Warhammer series, look no further - Dawn of War 2 - Chaos Rising has landed. This standalone expansion brings a slew of new features to this popular RTS series, including a new playable race (Chaos Space Marines), a new single player campaign, and an increased level cap from 20 to 30.

Our resident RTS warrior Kosta has taken it for a test toast - for his thoughts, make sure you check out our Chaos Rising review!

9.0 from Ausgamers, probably worth a buy then.

Also I skimmed over the review is this a stand-alone? or do I need to but DoW2 to play DoW2: chaos rising?

You can play Chaos Rising without the original DoW2. Just means you won't be able to play the original DoW2 races in multiplaye. You'll only be able to play Chaos.

Yeh I gotta say I like the idea of 'standalone expansions' (as much as I can like the idea of expansions). It's like a cool little mini-game offering and if you like it you can go back and buy the main game.

Single-player campaign *WAY* too short. "The Last Stand" mode addictive though.

Oh, and it should warn you when "destryoing" an item will actually upgrade it and give you corruption points :<

how come no dragon age DLC review?!?!!? that has almost dropped off peoples care factor on here (which was weird given that the last thread for the game had 400 posts)

Well it doesn't warn you with a popup message, but it says pretty clearly in the item's tooltip that donating it will give you an upgraded version.

Yeah, I know for me anyway, I can't go back to Dragon Age. After playing Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age just feels primitive and crap, can't bring myself to play anymore of it. I think it seemed awesome at the time because I was so starved for a good RPG, but in hindsight, it was more than a bit shoddy.

Mass Effect 2 DLC and expansions though on the other hand, I'll be all over that.
