BioWare have revealed an all-new content pack for Mass effect 2, affirming their support behind the sci-fi epic, which will arrive for PC and Xbox 360 in "late March" and will be free for registered Cerberus users.

The DLC, called "Firewalker", will introduce five new missions, expanding gameplay for the title alongside the introduction of a new heavy vehicle.
The Firewalker pack includes 5 all new missions featuring the Hammerhead. Hovering over the battlefield at up to 120 kilometeres per hour, the Hammerhead also boasts a guided missile system ensuring accuracy even during aggressive manoeuvring.
BioWare are also promising another reveal closer to the DLC launch with an all-new heavy weapon. Check out some new screens for it below.

I'm liking all the free Mass Effect 2 DLC!

As am I, I wish more companies would follow suit with this kind of DLC.

This one looks very interesting indeed though, I'm wondering though if you're atcually confined to the Hammerhead during all the missions, or if you can exit it like you could the Mako

hope you can exit and explore a bit, if only they could concept a random terrain generator like diablo 2, anything to replace f**n planet scanning!

You could explore in ME1, apart from hooning around in the buggy it was pretty useless and boring.

The sense of scale it gave missions was certainly missing in me2 though, in me1 you would spot a base from miles away, perhaps snipe the guards out, use your biotics to throw them off a mountain, then run over any stragglers. In me2 every mission was spawn in a tunnel, snap to cover, pop up and shoot targets, duck to heal.

Yeah ME2 definitely has a console-game feel to it, with the game significantly simplified (combat, leveling, exploration, etc) and boxed in with both visible and shamelessly invisible walls. I find it fun, but not as mindblowingly addictive as ME1, hence I play ME2 in 30 min bursts instead of 2-3 hours.

(maybe someone has already mentioned all this, but I'm avoiding the ME2 thread due to potential spoilers)

ME2 was really superior in every way over ME1. Everything they removed from ME1 made the sequel more enjoyable and far far less tedious.

I loved ME1, but there is no way I could go and play it again after playing ME2.
