Ubisoft have today revealed the next title in the long running Ghost Recon Franchise: Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier.

The announcement comes devoid of any screenshots only a very vague teaser trailer and some brief details.
Created by the award-winning team behind Tom Clancys Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and Tom Clancys Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, the game will feature cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes. Tom Clancys Ghost Recon Future Soldier will go beyond the core Ghost Recon franchise and deliver a fresh gameplay experience, with an unparalleled level of quality that will excite long-time fans and newcomers alike.
A multiplayer beta is reportedly planned for winter 2010 (U.S. Summer), invites for which wil come packaged with Ubisoft's forthcoming Splinter Cell Conviction - due April 15 2010 for PC and Xbox 360.

Early reports (although unconfirmed) suggest that Ghost Recon Future Soldier will see a simultaneous release on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with a PC version following hopefully not too far behind.

Actually there is a trailer, it's up on gametrailers, would be cool to get it here.

Also this game has invisibility cloaks.

Cloaks? sigh... I was hoping it would return to the good Ghost Recon, 1st first one.

Trailer doesn't have much a very mgs4 ish "war never changes" kinda thing then some flashing lights with the sound of gunshots and a voice saying area clear and then you see some guys de-cloak wearing rags.

Alot of hate on the Ubi forums for this, I totally agree with them, can Xbox users post on normal forums? If not why do they even have forums? I'm losing respect for Ubi fast tbh. Raven Shield and Ghost Recon 1 were their peak. At least Ubi Montreal still have Assassins Creed. Reserving judgment on Conviction.

Wow you guys are quick.

Added some new details about the rumoured platforms. Trauma, what is the rage all about? Anti console stuff? Can't say that GRAW 2 was very PC friendly.

Well, while I don't like consoles personally, it's more to do with them moving away from Ghost Recons roots, the original was awesome (GOTY I think) and this linear, ugly, fictional direction they have taken just ruins what could have been a really awesome franchise. I was hoping they would reboot the series given how it laid dormant for a while now, but it would seem from what we have seen that they are just milking it further, same old rubbish.

Would need to see game footage to be sure tho. A bit lame that they are using the beta for this to push sales of Conviction also.

Wow you guys are quick.

That's what she said.

First thing that came to mind when watching that was Metal Gear Solid, for reason mentioned above. It'd be nice to see what the actual game is like, trailers like this are a waste of time.

Oh and it's going to be on Wii also, so yea G f*****g G to that title.
