With their hugely anticipated sci-fi sequel now only nine sleeps away (but who's counting), EA and BioWare have stepped up the media releases with a huge stack of screenshots and a few more trailers today.

Some 39 new screens can be found in our image gallery, offering some incredibly lush happy snaps of the game's characters and environments.

On the video front, we've got another character vignette, this time featuring none other than Commander Shepard himself. Then there's another developer diary trailer that describes and discusses the game's wealth of choice, from the many tough choices you'll have to make to optional side missions and character customisation - all aspects that will ensure many different experiences from one game to another.

Lastly, there's this US TV Spot video promoting an upcoming feature airing tomorrow night on the US cable channel SyFy . Not that many of you will be able to catch the show, but there's some good snippets of game and voice-cast commentary in there.

Mass Effect 2 arrives on PC and Xbox 360 on January 28 2010.
