The irony is delectable. Infinity Ward was crafted from Medal of Honor developers who no longer wanted to work on the series, believing EA's direction of it had turned stale - thus Call of Duty was born.
Fast forward to more
modern times, and the same 'rogue' team are now the creators of one of the biggest entertainment successes in the last 10 years. So what does EA do? Revamp a stale old series to model Infinity Ward's
Modern Warfare 2, apparently with an entirely new development team at the helm (did they just throw away the MoH team like so much Pandemic Studios?).
For the first time in the franchise's 10-year history, Medal of Honor is leaving the WWII theatre and putting players in war-torn Afghanistan. Electronic Arts today revealed that in 2010, Medal of Honor, an all-new first-person shooter game, will introduce the Tier 1 Operator: a relatively unknown entity directly under the National Command Authority who takes on missions no one else can handle. The development team has been working closely with Tier 1 Operators from the U.S. Special Operations Community since the earliest stages of development to create the most authentic modern war experience. Inspired by real events, Medal of Honor reveals the mission of today’s most elite American soldier – his will, his mindset and his uncompromising professionalism.
2010; hilarity ensues...

no issues getting a multiplayer game of mw2 going thus far, granted it'd be nice to just say to your mates "join me on x/y/z server in 10 minutes"

You party up, all join another lobby... all get kicked back to the party. join another lobby. start. host leaves, migrate fails. party is closed now. everyone has to rejoin on party leader again. and again. and again. It's pretty s***house tbh. just lucky the game is so f*****g awesome once you are actually playing.

Should also be noted that the 'handpicked' team at EALA is working on the single player side and EA DICE is doing the multiplayer side of things according to http://www.ea.com/news/new-medal-of-honor-announce
So logic says it will have a SP that will last.
