Steam's having a sale with some good stuff on special. I grabbed myself Dragon Age for 25% off, and it has some other good stuff like the THQ pack for 50% off and Batman: Arkham Asylum for 50% off. Here's the full list:

Just looking over that list: Anyone who doesn't have it already you would be absolutely mad not to pick up Osmos for $2. It's a bargain even without the discount at $10.

That Lucasarts pack looks to be the large majority of their stuff on Steam, with the exception of the Telltale Games Monkey Island titles of course. Even Lucidity & Star Wars Galaxies is included there..

When you buy those packs is it normal not to be able to gift any games you already had purchased? I remember when I got the TF2 pack with HL2 bundled I was able to gift HL2 to someone since I already owned a copy. Can't seem to do it now with this THQ pack.

It's SOE, of course it's not free :( Although it's rather terrible so it's not worth even giving it a go (or wasting quota on patches etc).

bought Dragon age at that price for AAA title is awesome.

Yeh FarCry 2 is okay but so bloody tedious and painful.

THQ pack is good but doesn't really appeal to me.

I already have ALL lucasarts games on floppies somewhere...but they're probably dead flopppies by now :(

I just bought Farcry 2 - haven't downloaded it yet as I don't have any f*****g bandwidth!! GRRR at s***** optus 12/24 peak/off peak!

I grabbed Grid too but I had that pre-loaded due to getting a mates steam files, it's pretty cool.

I was looking forward to Farcry2 as well... ahh well

I barely survived the intro. Ran around a bit with Malaria and then quit.

Maybe in the sequel you'll start off with no arms or legs and have to nibble your way around.

Yeah, I saw ~~99.99~~ -> 49.99! on the front page and didn't think much of it. But clicking through to the actual details of the pack it's close to 90% off.

Worth buying - but I just wish I had enough time to play that many games!!

I believe DOW2 is one of those "Steam required to play" games, meaning you're stuck with it once activating it in Steam.

Thinking whether or not to get Batman...Still waiting on the 360 version to arrive from s***** Dstore (it's been like a month.) My steam games are so underplayed it's not funny. Damn xbox 360 :(

i thought farcry2 was very nice looking. very realistic looking landscapes. the game-play was just too repetitive n got boring fast. i persevered & there was actually some cool missions on the 2nd map. the end was dumb n piss ez :(

Borderlands is on sale now, and yet still more expensive than it was when it was first put on steam :P

Ghostbusters is up for $10 too, thats pretty sweet, I enjoyed that game, definitely worth $10. Worth it for the nostalgia if nothing else.

Yeah I thought that was a nice price for Ghostbusters as well.
Though I just tried to add it to my cart but when I clicked through to the payment page it said "sorry this item could not be added!".
I went back to the red sale page to try again and it's missing, deliberately pulled from sale perhaps?

Is there any reason not to buy these games from the US or UK steam store? Borderlands is $35 on those stores. I know this method was working for L4D2, was just wondering if it works for all games.
