Ever hoped for a proper next-gen Back to the Future game where you can control the Delorean, ergo time travel? Well, one modder had the same thoughts as you, but went about creating the concept in explicit detail to realise his dream (given no game publisher has jumped on board).

This is absolute proof the mod community is one of the most important assets to gaming, and here's hoping some publishing bigwig sees this and gets one of those things, you know, a headache with pictures.

(Though here's hoping they don't screw it up should it get off the ground, which is likely - the screwing up part that is.)

That is pretty awesome, my only question is: Are there "times" to go back and fight/explore?

looks like its just a one time mod that the guy made, and would need more work for extra levels/stages

I don't get what's so good about that. The car travels between two time zones. So what else is there to do but drive around?

Atm im pretty sure its just the car, i think it just changes the TOD once you get to 88mph. I still really like it though

Nice. I dunno how you'd put together a game based on this kind of time travel though. The possibilities for some kind of BttF machinima are still interesting, if they were somehow able to avoid being sued.

Eagerly awaiting Achron to find out how wacky time travel in a multiplayer game can get.

Can't really see how you'd actually be able to work time travel into a game, way too hard

Day of the Tentacle?

Awesome little tech demo, and sweet effects, like when hes standing on the ramp and the car comes back, that was cool.

Would have been better with a Huey Lewis soundtrack though.
