The GeForce RTX 4060 is out this week, and NVIDIA let us check out the new mainstream GPU early to see what DLSS 3 brings to Cyberpunk 2077 and the still-gorgeous Night City.

We've all seen and heard the concerns over Modern Warfare 2's "terrorist" sequence, and rightly so. Nothing like it has ever appeared in a game of this calibre, and it poses great questions about context, interaction, story-telling and art.
But there are some people who just don't get it, and I'm reminded of Fox News jumping on the Mass Effect as "video game porn" bandwagon in 2007, because here they are again presenting a "fair and balanced debate" about the airport sequence. Watch this at your own risk - I actually think it's probably more damaging to the psyche than the terrorism "fantasy" they're talking about.
as always... all social issues can be answered with an episode of southpark! ;p great ep... lampoons talk-back radio moguls, smurfs, avatar, power crisis.. all in one excellent ep. it even lampoons faceman's style of posting... or does it!? ;p
A cartoon with Bart having sex with Lisa is considered Child Pornography
But if Bart was shooting Lisa with a machine gun that would be considered just a game.
The guy from slashgaming, in the interview seemed a bit doey. They should have got someone capable of producing an intelligent response to that mean old interviewer.

But that would mean it wouldn't be a fair and unbiased debate.
Typical of Fox news to get someone who isn't good at doing these sort of debates to try and offer a rebuttal for whatever they're ranting on about.
interestingly this is why whenever ABC or whoever call up to ask me to come on some showto give a 'gamer' perspective I always either ignroe or respond with FOAD
They dont tell you the agenda, and usually it turns into some sort or beatup against you personally, I copped this first hand many many years ago (2001) going on a abc radio show in perth.
I watched the southpark Glenn beck episode after watching that other guy parody him... Stewart. I thought Stewarts parody was awesome an despite being a sp fan found the episode a bit ho-Hum.. I'm nit a regular Stewart watcher mind you.
F*** I hope his name is Stewart.. Te guy on before colbert.
I don't think that level really achieved what it set out to do. Maybe its just me but the whole sequence became almost comical after a short time. It started out extremely well, the build up in the elevator, walking out onto the security check, the way none of it registered with the crowd or security until all the dudes you are with open up and then the sea of people being mown down. I just don't think that they can achieve the same emotional response in a game that movies have been able to. I don't have a problem with the scene being included, but as a cut scene like the space sequence I think it would have fit a lot better.
Maybe they needed to punish the player in some way (I cant imagine how you could do it without making it a pain in the arse but there needed to be some kind of toll otherwise they just become like any other target in the game. At the same time you then force the player into killing the people in the crowd by having the terrorists realise you are undercover (because you aren't killing civilians) and execute you early and make you restart the level.
I don't think they could implement it but I think that for me that is the only way this kind of thing can work interactively.
Yeah, I thought it had a lot of impact at the beginning, when you come out the elevator and everyone just gets f*****g slawed. But then it just became a bit of a "Oh, theres some more people to shoot" type of thing. Although I did, personally, find it a bit hard to just brutally slaughter innocent people so I guess it kind of served its goal. And the way that level ended, I really didn't expect, that probably suprised me more than anything.

I get the impression he was a little nervous.
The video definitely makes me cringe though.

He also didnt really defend it very well, he was way too relaxed and didnt go on the attack anywhere near enough except for the end.
This is again a bunch of hyped up bs and I feel that people like that cannot get any stupider.

"you bring the game into a household, nothing to stop a 10yo picking up the game and becoming a terrorist"
Definately good at sensationalising things.
