At least it's still coming along, in some capacity. For those of you chomping at the bit, even for a solid release date, Polyphony Digital have revealed a host of new screens to solidify your patience and allegiance, which we've posted up here for you to look at.

Late or not, there's no denying this is one of the most visually impressive racers to ever grace a console. Check them out below and from our screenshots gallery.

Yeah, it's a bit ridiculous hey.

The Xbox 360 is already getting a second Forza and Polyphony are still trudging along with this, looking at a March 2010 release? Is it going to be worth the wait?

As long as the price doesn't go up.. might be worth buying a wheel if it proves to actually be good, especially with online play.

Enter an online race which might actually feel like a regular track race and not an arcade, but without paying a monthly subscription!

Edit: The screenshots are so tiny the only background they could be used for is my PSP.

this is the kinda game I'd actually buy, i haven't played anything seriously since original CS (1.5)
but I would probably go invest in a wheel and maybe even one of those chairs for GT5

I've been delaying my PS3 purchase waiting for GT5. Hopefully, there will be another hardware price drop between now and march '10, making the whole exercise cheaper still!

Yeah I was going to buy one as well, but turns out my little brother who is still at home with the parents has one (and I am living back here temporarily) so I don't need to buy one :D

I also hope there is another price drop!

GT5 Prologue physics and handling were great imo, you just need set your tyres up properly and a Logitech G25 made a HUGE difference in the overall realism experience. As for the upgrading of cars you can do a "quick tune" after completing all the C B and A classes, which gives you options like power increases break bias's, camber settings, and susspension modification. So it realy ain't that bad.

wait what, i really must not have paid any attention to prologue because all i ever remember doing was one crappy drift track with a ferrari around some countryside map with a tunnel and some hill climbs + a hairpin

That was a free demo called Gran Turismo HD Concept which came out at the end of 2006. It used the old GT4 engine but made it look pretty for HD.
