In what could be one of the coolest story concepts ever, LucasArts have released a new DLC (downloadable content) update for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
The mission begins at the end of the story of The Force Unleashed and re-imagines the Star Wars Saga as if the Secret Apprentice had killed Darth Vader and taken his place at the Emperors side, becoming the most powerful Sith Lord in the universe. The story picks up as the Emperor sends his new apprentice to the planet Tatooine to dispatch Obi-Wan Kenobi -- who has been hiding on the planet ever since the events of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. During their hunt for the reclusive Jedi, players will also explore the depths of Jabba the Hutt's palace and encounter notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett.
This update is available for both Xbox 360 and PS3 today, from their respective online stores. Check out a few screens below.

I had NO IDEA this was coming - I thought the Secret Apprentice was one of the coolest characters ever crafted for the SW universe - I'm grabbing this update right now!

Must agree that they did a pretty good job with the Secret Apprentice, especially compared to some of the other characters created for the prequel trilogy. As a side note, I'm a retard - Was watching Smallville S8 and wondering why the guy who plays Doomsday looked & sounded really, really familiar. So imagine my surprise when I look up the actor and find out it's Sam Witwer, who voices (and I'm guessing the character model is also based off) The Secret Apprentice.. Might have to get along to GenCon next month and have a listen to what he's got to say.

Postscript to this: I just downloaded, and finished, this DLC. It's pretty cool, great setting, but such a flash in the pan - over way too quickly and the end boss battle, on the hardest setting, is the cheapest battle ever - two hits and you die.

But f*** Starkiller's outfit is awesome!

Only 800MS points, but only about an hour's worth of play - tops.

1 hour DLC and you have to pay for it? Console gamers are charged so much for content!

So when is the PC version coming out which includes new content?
