Valve have pushed out another update to Team Fortress 2 with a swag of little fixes and balance changes. Here's the list:
- Added a "Discard" button to the item pickup panel.
- Added a backstab custom death animation to the Heavy.
- Changed default for tf_arena_use_queue to 1. This was the original behavior prior to the last update.
- Changed the Dead Ringer so it can be activated while carrying the flag.
- Increased the Force-A-Nature's damage by 10%.
- Fixed not being able to reflect arrows with the Flamethrower.
- Fixed The Huntsman drawing a muzzle flash under lagged conditions.
- Fixed the background color of the Spy disguise panel not always matching his disguise team.
- Fixed idle players being kicked when the server has tf_arena_use_queue set to 0.
- Fixed Spies not being able to sap a building if an enemy player was colliding with the building.
- Fixed getting a real target ID on an enemy Spy that's disguised as one of your teammates if you are disguised as an enemy.
- Fixed the Ambassador not shooting enemy sticky bombs.
- Fixed Spies being able to automatically cloak after uncloaking at the moment of a weapon switch.
- Fixed Jarate instantly exploding when thrown in some places, like the final area of Badwater.
- Fixed spectators not having their items removed when they enter spectator mode.
- Fixed Sniper "civilian" exploit where players could crash the server.
- Fixed a couple of cases where viable backstabs would fail.

You need to get your copy/paste fixed - it's running slow.

I only started playing TF2 last week - it's been sitting in my games list unplayed for years - but I'm loving it. I suck at playing spy though - it seems to be the hardest to get right.

Only found out last night about the ability to rotate before building things!

Haha that was annoying having to wait for fat enemies to get away from the teleport to sap it. Gave me away a couple times.

I would be completely fine with this if they fix up legit backstabs not registering. that seems to happen far more times than a facestab. I'll have to check out the patch to see how well it has addressed backstabs failing.

Lately I've been able to stand in front of a sentry for a few seconds before it shoots me. Am I being bulls***ted by lag or something? Like I can stand in one spot for 5 seconds, and then suddenly die from a level 2/3 sentry, as if it previously couldn't see me.

When waiting to join a team, sometimes if you click what color team to join it throws you into an area where you can spectate but never join a team again. The only way around it is to rejoin the server. Its got me so many times before.

You type "spectate" into console

Then hit team selection again.

Holy s*** yes. A failed 100% legit backstab is 10x more frustrating than a facestab.
I'm not even talking about those times where a paranoid heavy does a slight turn at the absolute last second. Sometimes they're even standing still ffs!!

I saw that bug a while ago as well. It freaked me the hell out because I was a medic at the time and I'd ubered someone else a few seconds before. By the time I got past 'WTF' and 'Oh glitch' we got nudged off the cart and splattered.

Actually, the face-stab is 10x more frustrating than a misseed legit one.

I never play spy so could care less, but fighting one as a pyro, just having set him on fire, to get back-stabbed in the face is just retarded.

Yeah I keep seeing spies disguised as an ubercharged player. Silly.

Also my watches have been playing up. I equip the dead ringer, but the model I see in game is the cloak and dagger except for the split second where I'm turning it on/off then I see the dead ringer.

The ubercharged spy is someone with cloak and dagger that keeps moving despite running out of cloak.

I thought this was intended.

Urgh. In that case, I reckon they need a new effect.
Something like weird electric effect when the Predator cloak fails maybe. :D
