Valve, those
teasy mcteasers, have sent through word the next Class Update for Team Fortress 2 is coming soon. Well, actually it'll be made available in the "next few coming days" (no actual date has been set yet), but you can hit up their Sniper Update specific site until the update's actual release.
Like prior TF2 Class updates, the Sniper will deliver new Achievements, maps and unlockable weapons free of charge to all owners of Team Fortress 2 for the PC.
Hit this link to be escorted to the new countdown site, and stay tuned, because a "free weekend" will be coming soon too, according to our Valve sources.

if you were a competent spy you would just deliver 3 revolver shots into the snipers back thats using the shield.
the shield might work well with snipers on the front line using the huntsman

Set it up instantly, stayed up for 10+ minutes, ONLY engi on a 16 player team... just cranking them through, non-stop.
People underestimate how damaging sapping entrances at spawn is :D

Zactly, this is on the shortlist of c***ish but otherwise awesome spy tactics.
Hmm, I can either stab maybe one or two heavy/soldiers before getting pummelled by sentries OR I could sneak around to the base and cause everyone spawning an additional 15-20 seconds of walking time to the front line... (maybe get a stab in on the poor engie trying to recover)

The priceless part of this is the distraction. you have 5 players running around spawn looking for you while your team is capping / defending.

There's a few players on node 14 that ONLY spy check, it's literally impossible to do any sort of damage. This one guy plays scout and spends the entire game running circles behind heavies/cart/engis and shooting every single player non-stop.
I sometimes play pyro and do the same thing if the team has 2-3 spies that are doing lots of damage.
More mics would solve the problem too.

Most maps they save the player 15 seconds or so, big maps sometimes 30 seconds.
1 player (out of 16 in my case), with a lvl 3 tele running non-stop is the same as the other 15 players having 15-30 seconds cut off their respawn time.
eg. No tele, GR stage 3 offence. 45 - 50 seconds, essentially your spawn timer is now 60-80 seconds every death, MASSIVE influence.
Which is why I RAGE when people run over my lvl 3 tele because people are lining up. It takes 50 seconds to run, or under 5 seconds to wait... do the maths dips****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep. It PISSES me off when you see 3 people lining up on a lvl 1 tele. They could jump into spawn, change to engi, get it upgraded to lvl 3 and teleport through well before the lvl 1 would have kicked in.
Same with spy sapping at spawn. If the tele is sapped, don't stand on it looking at die? WTF? Change to engi and repair it. I often see 5+ people run over a sapped tele at spawn, makes no sense at all.
If you're a class that doesn't need to setup straight away on defence (engis, meds and heavies have to run forward), upgrade the teles to lvl 3 at the start and you can still run up to the gates well before they open.

engineer for every first wave of defense, and pyro for all thereafter.
It pisses me off when you see d**** setting up turrets at the 5th cap point on badwater, when the game has just started (extreme example, but it happens).
