Eidos have released a playable demo for Battlestations Pacific, the followup to naval combat title Battlestations Midway that promises more ships, planes and weapons and more ways to dispose of your enemies, including
kamikaze pilots.
The demo weighs in at 1.26GB and can now be found
locally on AusGamers. Xbox 360 owners can now also find this one on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Gameplay is very consoley and somewhat sluggish. Air controls feel like your in syrup
You can't skip through initial opening movies.
If you remove opening movies game won't start and you will need to reinstall.
Seige mode licks balls, your forced to go into spectate mode after your thrid aircraft bights the bullet.
Capture Island mode is far from intuitive on just how your sposed to get something happening, ended up mashing keys until a menu came up. That said, when I finally figured out how to build and get into the Sub I had about 2 minutes left in game to kill something. (Torps are really fast!).
End movie credit as you try and exit game literally takes over your PC and you either have to reboot or have lightning fast reflexes and sound knowledge of Task Manager End Process, or your forced to watch through to completion (several minutes).
Could be just me but 5/10
Prolly doesn't help that I've only just gotten my sight back from an Ocular Migraine all day I guess...
