Alongside today's announcement of Battlefield 1943, EA DICE have also revealed Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

A direct sequel to the 2008 story driven shooter Battlefield Bad Company, Bad Company 2 puts you back in the boots of the rag-tag 'B' Company for an all new adventure that boasts "more vehicles, more destruction and more team play".
With a heavy arsenal of deadly weapons and a slew of vehicles to aid them, the crew set off on their mission and they are ready to blow up, shoot down, blast through, wipe out and utterly destroy anything that gets in their way. Total destruction is the name of the game, delivered as only the DICE next generation Frostbite™ engine can. Either online or offline, enemies will soon learn there is nowhere to hide.
Interestingly while it's predecessor was console only, Bad Company 2 is in the works for not only Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 but the PC as well.

No trailers as yet, but a single screenshot and overview information can be found on our new game page

2 words, "milking it"

Really? As you can probably see from the review I linked above, I found Bad Company to be a great game. Using the strengths of the Battlefield engine (vehicles, large maps etc) to tell an amusing scripted story with some top characters.

I see nothing wrong with them bringing the boys back for another outing. Pretty weak to knock it as "milking it" just because it carries the Battlefield brand, it's a completely different game to bf1942/bf2/2142 etc and what's planned for 1943.

I loved the first game on 360. SP was a little weak but MP was awesome fun. However the lag issue was a deal breaker for me, and I stopped playing it. Hopefully they have local servers this time around otherwise it's a no go for me.
