Optus have formally launched the
HTC Dream mobile phone, which is basically the same thing as the T-Mobile G1, also known as the GooglePhone.
The highly anticipated HTC Dream. The HTC Dream includes a variety of Google applications such as Google Maps™, YouTube™, Gmail™ and Google Search, which makes accessing the internet a breeze. Also featuring one-touch access to Android Market™, HTC Dream users can download many other useful and exciting applications, including games, news, social networking and more!
The full specs and plan details are on the official site, but looks like plans start around $59/month with 500mb of data up to a $129/month plan with 3gb of data.
Update: The official Google Australia blog now has
their announcement up about the new phone.
It's only listed as 'coming soon' for now, so don't get too excited just yet. But I'm excited!
