When Midway and Warner announced Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe, they mentioned that there would be a storyline explaining the collision of the two franchises and it looks like they've made good on that today with the release of the latest trailer.

The 2 minute clip - that appears to be the game's intro cinematic - can be found right here in the AusGamers video library and "explains" how Raiden, Sub Zero, Scorpion and crew have found themselves doing battle with Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and the team.

Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe is due on November 21 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. For more details and media, check out the AusGamers game page.

Surely that can't be the whole intro cinematic - seems just like a highlight reel from the cinematic, or at least pieces of the cinematic from various stages of the game?

Dialog, as always, is a bit over the top and cheesy, but still looks pretty cool. It's a fun game to play as well!@#
