Yoshi Ono, producer for Capcom's Street Fighter IV (which can now be found in Arcades across the country), recently told G4
the US could expect the game to finally land on home-consoles "this winter", stating reluctance to clearly settle on a late '08 release (remember in the US the end of the year is winter).
"There is no official North American arcade release, so we kind of feel bad that you guys have to wait for it," he told the site. "That's why we're trying to get it to you as soon as possible. Before the Japanese have a really long period of time to get really good at it first and totally kick your butt online... We don't want to start rumors that it's this year, but definitely this winter."
It's nice to know we have the arcade machines here earlier than the US.
