Only 700MB? That's pretty small for a demo now-days. I might give it a spin.

That was the most pathetic excuse for a demo ever. 5 min SP mission in some sewer.

on top of that it was only running at 30fps on my machine (4870X2 etc) and still looked like s***.

Fail.

Definitely wayyy too short and the graphics did seem a bit lacking (maybe low qual textures in the demo?), but loved the cinematic style gameplay.

Ran perfect with everything turned on high on my 8800GT

Hmm not sure what's going on then, being the same engine as COD4 and looking more or less the same I was assuming the fps would also be similar. Weird.

Just played this, and I must say that as incredibly short as it was, it was damn cool. I didn't experience any performance issues at all, it ran absolutely perfect on max settings (8800GT card on my PC), and the textures weren't blurry as stated above. They were set to low detail when I first checked the settings in the options menu, so I cranked it at to maximum.

Definitely looking forward to playing the full game.
