Perhaps the biggest news to come out of Microsoft's Xbox Media Briefing was word that Square-Enix's flagship title Final Fantasy XIII, previously only slated for a PlayStation 3 release is also in production for the Xbox 360.

Not only that but Square-Enix confirmed that the game will launch simultaneously for both platforms in North America and Europe (which hopefully includes Australia).

Available on Xbox 360 at launch in North America and Europe," the company concluded. "We believe that bringing the game to Xbox 360 will allow us to provide a game to even more fans in North America and Europe.

Capturing of footage from the demonstration shown at the event was not permitted, however a Japanese language version of the official trailer has now found its way online and you can check it out right here on AusGamers.
