Good news for Frontlines players - Kaos Studios have
announced (via their forums) that a new patch is en route with some important fixes for common problems:
We are about a week away from releasing 1.02 which includes many fixes and we are already at work on 1.03 where we plan to have an overhaul to the server browser to fix many complaints.
Some of these fixes will be in 1.02, such as not being able to join some servers, filters always working properly, player count sorting etc. However a bigger update on the browser will be in 1.03.
They've also announced a dedicated server thing will be released, allowing dedicated servers to be run without CD keys (yes, at the moment you really need a CD key to run a server).
They've been copping some flack about the lack of a standalone dedicated server, and it seems they may be removing forum posts - one of
our posts (
Google cache) is no longer visible on the forums in the
original thread (looks like it vanished over the Easter long weekend). Hopefully though we'll have a dedicated server out soon which will lead to an improved multiplayer experience for anyone wanting to play this game online.

I played the SP for about half an hour (but why would you bother if you have a good SP game like COD4 to play instead) ok maybe for the little RC helicopters.
I really just wanted some MP fun but it had some minor problems such as NO FREAKIN SERVERS IN AUS and CANT CONNECT TO ANY SERVERS ANYWAY...
Just a few minor things that I am 100% sure they will fix when the 1.0.2 patch comes out, or maybe 1.0.3...
