Good news for Australian games technology developer BigWorld with the announcement of an agreement with Sierra Online to develop a "PC online game targeting a mass market audience". No other details available just yet as to what sort of game it is, but presumably it'll be a PC-based MMO.

sadly as soon as I read this I recalled the s*** john et al have been saying in the media about bigworld, and then thought about some of the crazy clearly unrealistic releases Auran were coming out with in regard to fury...

It isnt good new, good news is someone from aus coming up with a polished mmo thats fully equipped with the fun module, bad news is more aussie techs making us all look dumb by saying hey blizz did it with wow I can to!

yeah actually I never considered that, wow seemed to easily pull the people who had invested time in chars over to it, now alot of them dont play the grind anylonger but I'm sure will be back for new content and more levels...

It would indeed take quite a game to pull those, but then, all the more reason why trying to link your business plan for a new MMO to the success of WoW is pretty up there in the stakes of dumbness
