Xbox 360 December Update adds DivX and Xvid support

It was hinted at, but now it's official, the upcoming update for the Xbox 360 is going to add support for playing DivX and Xvid. This will hopefully remove the need for programs such as TVersity for most files, meaning we'll also be able to fast-forward and rewind said files. Kotaku has more details.

they wont support any older divx encodes interestingly (lower than version 5)
