Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition sees the iconic RTS game make its way to Xbox consoles with a revamped UI, overhauled tutorial, and even cross-save and cross-play with the PC version. It's not the first RTS on console but it definitely serves as a great example of how to do it right.

The long-awaited Diablo 4 is on track for a June release, and today Blizzard has outlined its plans for Diablo III's Season 28 - called Rites of Sanctuary. It introduces a new end-game progression system with new Legendary Powers (triggered via Potions), and a skill tree that will grant powerful Seals.

Back in the day, reporting on games "going gold" was a highlight event, but in a world of delays and games releasing with hurried Day One patches and the like, it feels like any 'promise' post of "going gold" is almost a risky move. But we appreciate them when they come in from small teams with obscure games that have been baking for lengthy periods of time, which just so happens to be the case with Atomic Heart, which developer Mundfish has excitedly shared has, in fact, "gone gold".

Redfall from Arkane has been a bit of a mystery to me, but after seeing over 10-minutes of gameplay from the Xbox and Bethesda Developer_Direct I'm now fully sold on its solo and co-op vampire hunting action. From open-world exploration to cool abilities and weapons and taking down vampire gods, it's coming May 2, 2023, to PC and Xbox Series X|S.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom is the next major chapter/expansion coming to The Elder Scrolls Online and takes players to a new region of eastern Morrowind. Plus, it introduces a new Oblivion-powered class in the form of the Arcanist. Announced as part of the Developer_Direct with its own big deep dive, it's set to arrive on June 20 on consoles and June 5 on PC/Mac.

Announced and revealed at the Xbox and Bethesda Developer_Direct earlier today, Hi-Fi Rush is the next game from The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo developer Tango Gameworks. And... it's out now for Xbox Series X|S and PC, and on Xbox Game Pass. A rhythm action game that's part Jet Set Radio, part Devil May Cry, and 100% cool.

And it's this month. January 27, to be exact. As part of the latest updated list of games coming to Xbox Game Pass, which also includes the likes of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, among others, GoldenEye 007 is the clear stand out, finally placating millions of old-school, die hard fans around the world for being out in the wild.

Minecraft Legends is a new action-strategy game from Mojang Studios and Blackbird Interactive set in the Minecraft Universe. With a co-op and a solo story-driven campaign, PvP supporting 4v4 in procedurally generated maps, it's coming to PC, Xbox (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S), PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch on April 18, 2023. It's also coming on day one to Xbox Game Pass.

A lot of history here, Colossal Cave Adventure is one of the first games ever made - a text-adventure from 1976 that inspired countless games. Including the graphical adventure game genre that Ken and Roberta Williams created in the 1980s with the likes of King's Quest. Colossal Cave sees Roberta Williams return to game development, with a full 3D remake of this iconic release.

You'd be forgiven if you missed it, but 2K has revealed that John Cena is the cover athlete for this year's WWE 2K entry, WWE 2K23, highlighting different Cenas from different generations across his illustrious career at the top of the WWE roster. The announcement of his cover adornment is also in celebration of his 20th anniversary as a WWE Superstar.

It's also leaving Google Stadia where it lived as an exclusive updated version of the already brilliant OG release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Come mid February, however, Journey to the Savage Planet: Employee of the Month Edition will land on both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S sporting new visual upgrades and options as well as collected downloadable content.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide developer Fatshark has issued an open letter stating that the game has "fell short of meeting expectations", and that the focus for the next few months for the team will be to address player feedback. This means seasonal content is being delayed alongside the Xbox Series X|S version of the game, and even premium cosmetics are being temporarily shelved.
