But hey, hes Deadpool. And he does whatever he wants.
From New Zealand devs Black Salt Games, DREDGE is a sandbox fishing adventure game with a Lovecraftian spin on proceedings. And we're in love with every aspect of it so far.
Fans love to tug on their own heartstrings when it comes to Nintendo's beloved Fire Emblem series. Whether it's seeing past heroes in other games, other games paying design homage or an all-new title, there's the sense that a die hard FE fan just can't get enough of that wonderful fluff.
Nintendo knows this, which is why Fire Emblem Engage might be the most fan-centric release in the franchise yet as it looks to its own rich history to pad out key aspects of its own design, weaponising nostalgia in unique and creative ways we know fans will just eat up.

World Championship Boxing Manager 2 is a 2023 sequel to a 1991 classic, with hand-drawn 32-bit inspired visuals in a mix of running your boxing empire as well as being a bit of sports sim . It's the style of game that became very popular on PC in the 1990s, and as a surprising decades-later sequel - it's looking very cool too.
If you've had an itch for some of that rhythmic Guitar Hero button-pressing action the past little while, but your guitars no longer work or you just plain got rid of it all, fear not -- ATONE: Heart of the Elder Tree has you covered in part by way of its rhythm-based combat setup, which is also backed up by an epic Norse-inspired tale.
As a cinematic story-driven co-op action game, Rocksteady's Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is on track for a 2023 release. It's been in development for several years and comes from a studio with a solid track record, but a leaked screenshot of the in-game menu doesn't paint a positive picture.

Which isn't to say we're not still keen on the game, because we most definitely are. But as far as "story trailers" go, this one doesn't really give us much to go on, other than there are big battles, big monsters and a bit of dancing. But boy, does this look like a fun jaunt through a dark fantasy Ancient China from a studio known to deliver the action goods.
Back in 2020 we stumbled upon an Indie sleeper called Coffee Talk -- a game set in a fictional Seattle where vampires, werewolves, orcs and more all often need a dose of the good stuff -- coffee. Once inside your cafe, these characters ordering said coffee (or other drinks) would ultimately pour out intricate stories about their day to day lives with you as the game's barista becoming inextricably involved with them, often helping shape their narrative outcome just based on your service alone.
Now, a sequel to this little gem is on the horizon, and is scheduled to land on PC and consoles this April.

In thinking about this deal, I couldn't help but chuckle at the confused Americans who'll undoubtedly see the HJ's logo, recognise it for its familiarity, and then scratch their heads over why the words "Hungry Jack's" aren't the words "Burger King". But then, it's the simple things in life that help me smile.
Anyways, the NBL and NBA 2K have reached an agreement to bring Australia's National Basketball League jerseys into NBA 2K23 which is further evidence of the growth of our local league which hasn't enjoyed this much interest or investment or engagement since the 90s.
