Not survival horror, apparently. This is horror survival, and it is set in the year 1917 (the dev team took inspiration from the movie, 1917, as well as copious other levels of research) and has you moving through trenches while the Great War happens around you. And as if the horror of war wasn't terrifying enough, Trenches throws some serious supernatural into the mix serving up a tantalising idea that, if pulled off, could be something quite special.
You probably don't really equate spec ops with professional wrestling, but we live in a mash-up world. A perpetual mixtape of ideas and loves and desires to transmogrify disparate passions in ways that appeal to us, with a bit of bragging rights thrown in for good measure. And it'll be doing a weigh in via Steam Early Access later this month.

And it's glorious. If all we wind up with is a shiny new Dead Space with some additional voice acting and other 'fresh' elements, we'll still be sinners. However, EA and Motive are promising so much more and today's new trailer titled Humanity End Here is perhaps our best look yet and just how fundamentaly different this reimagining of the OG will be.
Say what you will about the Nintendo GameCube controller’s button placement and secondary analogue stick that looks and feels like a nipple; it’s still one of the most comfortable controllers ever created for a home console. Plus, it still looks awesome in purple (or funky orange). And with that, NYXI’s GameCube-inspired Wizard Wireless Joy-pad for the Switch might just be the first must-have peripheral for 2023.
