From the team behind Skyrim Together Reborn, which added co-op to Skyrim, comes HogWarp - which looks to do the same for Hogwarts Legacy. A game that we really dug, even though we're not super into the Harry Potter franchise. Like Skyrim, it's a sprawling action RPG with a huge world and the iconic Hogwarts location. And as a single-player-only game, the idea of multiplayer will no doubt entice many wand-wielders out there.

The team behind the mod shared the following video showcasing that it's already made progress in getting multiple wizards and witches into the game.

"Our aim is to figure out how to do the basics such as spawning characters with the player's appearance, animations, and NPCs," mod maker Yamashi told PC Gamer in a Discord chat. "We are not going to create any multiplayer-specific content ourselves, we want to provide a stable framework so that people can enjoy the vanilla game and maybe extend it themselves later on."

The test build is available for Patreon subscribers with plans to make it open-source and available for all once complete.

Hogwarts Legacy might have been one of the least games on your radar if you weren't a Potter or Rowling fan, and we can't blame you. Sometimes these licensed affairs just don't pay off. But we're here to tell you things are a bit different in this spin on the Wizarding World Universe. And that if you like your RPGs and your action-adventure games... well, this is really going to scratch that itch.

Here's a snippet:
Hogwarts Legacy is many moving parts, much like Hogwarts itself, but at its fore it is a journey. And the best games featuring a journey are RPGs -- entirely what Hogwarts Legacy actually is. Except it’s not an open-world knockoff of so many other action-RPGs that currently flood the gaming landscape, and instead might be the most forward-thinking high-fantasy RPG in some time. Since The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, in fact (excluding Cyberpunk here for thematic reasons). And despite being based on a series of books with established rules and lore and in being beholden to those things as a licensed product, Legacy is incredibly progressive in its mechanics and systems and setup, funnily enough, because of its utilisation of those rules and lore. And through that it somehow breaks the rules and elevates itself to spheres few licensed games dream of. At least in scope.
