Indie asymmetric multiplayer romp, Depth, is now available on Steam, according to the game's Facebook page, with 10% off the retail price for anyone who takes the plunge.
Play as a shark or a diver using a combination of cunning, teamwork, and stealth set in a dark aquatic world. Depth blends tension and visceral action as you team up against AI or be matched with other players in heart pounding combat.
Our very own Joaby actually managed to find himself in one of the world's first preview/hands-on sessions for the game and whipped up both a written developer interview feature as well as this hands-on video preview. Check them out.

You may have heard of the ambitious sharks vs humans multiplayer game, Depth, a few years ago. You may also be asking yourself now that I've reminded you, "where the bloody hell is it?".

The truth is, the team went back to the drawing board and found a new partner in New Zealand-based Digial Confectioners -- a tale they're more than happy to reveal to our very own Joab Gilroy who not only spoke with the team, but also played them in some hands-on multiplayer where he also produced this Depth video preview (complete with transcript).

Find out why this long-gestating product should be on your radar by checking out Joab's Depth interview feature right here.

You might have already seen this trailer, or heard about this game via the indie grapevine, but we just think it's cool and wanted to share it for those who've never seen or heard of it before.

Depth is a multiplayer FPS title built on Unreal Engine 3 for PC by a bunch of guys who worked on Killing Floor. It sees two teams going up against each other in a unique underwater environment: treasure-seeking divers, and sharks.

Sharks are equipped with extra senses to give them greater tracking abilities, while the divers have all the latest in underwater weaponry. Suffice to say, it looks like this could get a bit hectic.

Watch the GDC trailer for the game below and keep an eye out for updates closer to the game's release. Whenever that is.
