Ok so I'm quite bored browsing youtube and I come across this:
It makes me wonder with all the efforts police, the government and everyone else are going to to stop drivers being distracted by passengers (see the distracted drivers are dangerous drivers ads if you're in QLD) whether so much device integration is a good idea. One of the cars (Ford near the end of the clip) even has twitter connectivity although he says you can listen to twitter feeds and makes no mention of actually posting I'm guessing if your phone can post to twitter you can still do that while you're in the car. While I see ipod/phone integration as a good thing, being able to listen to your favourite songs or talk hands free is a long way from keeping up to date with twitter WHILE YOU'RE DRIVING. Is it just me or have cars gone the way of every electronic device, the more widgets and doodads it has the more attractive it is to consumers? What ever happened to a car being a device to get you safely from point a to point b, sometimes via point c without point b knowing about the little detour? Discuss. |

Old article but i think they've rolled out this thing in this years range rover model... Basically the driver and front seat passenger get 2 different video screens from the same flat display in the dash... ITS MAGIC! |
