Hey guys,

We've recently moved offices and I need to put my car in for a service during the day. As such, I'm looking for recommendations for where to get my brakes serviced around Albion.

Any suggestions?

Heh... yeah don't think I'll be screwing around with my brakes myself :P I can change a tyre, replace an oil filter and beyond about that, I'm happy to let the professionals handle it. I don't have any ego to protect where mechanics comes in.

Cheers for the suggestions guys, I'll give them a call tomorrow and see which one has the better price/more convenient time to get sorted.

You need to find a dodgey old retired mechanic on the pension.

Got a new clutch kit in my 91 Lancer, $220 parts and labour.

I let the "professionals" do my brakes and yeah, from now on I'll be doing them myself. As long as you know what you're doing they're easy and if all you're doing is changing the pads then it's even easier.

I'm sure that for some people they are. However, I'm simply not prepared to risk f*****g it up. I use my car for work and am doing some long-distance driving over Christmas with friends and family in the car. I'm not going to risk them because I wanted to save a few dollars.

So, I'm happy to pay for a professional.

Bohemion, thanks for that, I'll give them a yell now.

Now he has the Hyundai it's probably just cheaper to buy another one than replace anything.

shad, worse than a hyundai, it's a daewoo with a plastic inlet manifold, a non-clearance motor (so when he breaks a timing belt he'll bend his valves too lolz) and a one star crash rating.
