Also for those interested, Chris Hardwick from the Nerdist will be doing a 30 min show called 'Talking Bad', airing an hour after Breaking Bad for the next 8 weeks. Similar to what he did with Talking Dead (for the Walking Dead).

While I'm also looking forward to the return of this, I can't believe how much hype and how worked up people are getting of what's going to be only 8 remaining episodes. Then after people get their fix - of just 8 episodes, that's it, it's over. We're going to be left with a society of Breaking-Bad addicts who have nowhere to get their fix. Chaos is going to break out and it's going to be like the Sims mens bathroom PSA!

Addicts will then just be hanging out for the complete series on Bluray with bucket loads of extras for many more hours of viewing. Also, hoping the Saul Goodman spinoff gets green lit.

That was awesome. So many great lines. Lots of big moves. An awesome start to the rest of the season. Expected much less, couldn't have anticipated any more.

If you haven't seen it yet make sure you watch the deleted scene from the season five bluray first, that's critical to Jessie's attitude though this EP.

Skylar sure tells that logistics chick who the hitman almost shot in a night knock where to go. She goes.

I've never seen a series turn up the heat so quickly before. The series return was dynamite, the follow-up episode slowed down a little because it had to but that one was just an absolute stonker. Knocked it out of the park.

MASSIVE SPOILER CONTAINED IN THESE SPOILER TAGS HOPEFULLY SPOILER TAGS WORK

Spoiler:
I know it's obnoxious to be 'that guy' but as soon as Huell said excuse me I knew what was going down. I am not crititsising for predictability - it was a real clever way for Jesse to know that Walt poisoned Brock. It's not outside the realms of possibility for him to know about Jane as well. The meth was missing the morning Jane died so he knows Walt was in the house and he also knows he entered via the bedroom back door. Walt could easily claim that he thought Jane was just sleeping but he tried to wake Jesse up and Jesse must know this because he had to tell him where the stuff was. Jesus christ this show rules

From r/breakingbad on reddit:

"Saul tells Jesse he can't bring pot to the meet with his "guy." The guy won't be inclined to help a druggie disappear (sensible). Jesse defiantly and silently refuses to give up his stash. Saul leaves the room to get "money bags" and while he is out there he tells Huell to pinch Jesse's stash off him (rewatch the scene, you can actually see him snatch it from Jesse!).

Jesse is waiting at the stop, he searches his pockets, at first just simply realizing the pot isn't there. But he looks at his pack of cigarettes and realizes, holy s***, Huell took my pot just now... and they took the ricin just as I had originally thought. Walt has been bulls***ting me ever since. "

The moment was nicely foreshadowed by this line as well

Gus: "It always amazes me the way the senses work in connection to my brain...Taken separately, these ingredients alone don't remind me of anything...But in this precise combination, the smell of this meal instantly brings me back to my childhood. How is that possible?"

Walt: "Basically it all takes place in the hippocampus. Neural connections are formed. The senses make the neurons express signals that go right back to the same part of the brain as before...Where memory is stored. It's something called relational memory."

My ricin theory - Walt is going to use it on himself as a sort of insurance policy. There is obviously some sort of showdown which is why the M60 is there. That showdown will either result in Walt being killed or taken into custody by the police or nazi guys. As has been mentioned many times, ricin takes days to work and the poisonee exhibits flu-like symptoms. Ricin poisoning symptoms will probably be mistaken for Walt being ill from his cancer so no treatment for poisoning will be given (ricin has no antidote in any case). If Walt is in custody by either of those two groups a slow-acting poison would be a good ticket out of there.

I wondered whether Saul's "new identity guy" might actually be a set-up i.e. a trip to Belize for Jesse; the scene in the desert just prior to setting up Jesse's departure was super tense for that reason.

Also there's been a really interesting transformation in the way we view Walt. He has gone from sympathetic antihero to a much darker, less palatable and calculating "bad good guy". Is there anything much left of the desperate, downtrodden, grumpy but lovable chemistry teacher we were introduced to? Not really. The turning point came (for me) with the reveal of the Lily of the Valley plant in his backyard - there was a lot of hinting and suggestion beforehand but that solidified IMO Walt's metamorphosis from relatively innocent well intentioned family man into merciless tyrannical kingpin. I mean don't get me wrong, I'm still rooting for Walt in the same way I would root for Scarface but I can't see it ending well.

Yeah that was the show's original idea, the transformation from protagonist to antagonist of the main character.

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/10/magazine/the-dark-art-of-breaking-bad.html?pagewanted=all

“Television is really good at protecting the franchise,” Gilligan said. “It’s good at keeping the Korean War going for 11 seasons, like ‘M*A*S*H.’ It’s good at keeping Marshal Dillon policing his little town for 20 years. By their very nature TV shows are open-ended. So I thought, Wouldn’t it be interesting to have a show that takes the protagonist and transforms him into the antagonist?”

The watershed moment was when Walt had Jesse kill Gale. The reason for Gale's killing was because Gus intended to replace Walt with Gale and have Walt killed in the process. Jesse pulled the trigger for him but at that point Jesse was more or less out of the game - Gus didn't know his location.

Yes but before that even, it would have been Walt and Gale cooking, but Walt said "Jesse is my man, Gale can f*** off" Gus replied "what, Jesse is a f*****g druggie c***".
If Jesse had cleaned up his act, Gus might have been more amenable to using him, if Walt had let Jesse die, then Walt would have been cooking, made his million and taught Gale, then possibly retired.

Gus wanted Walt dead in part at least because he couldnt control him, he realised this when Walt was doing everything in his power to keep Jesse on board/alive, so Gus changed his focus to make Jesse an asset (with Mike taking the father figure from Walt) and kick Walt out of the picture. Which when you think about it is a huge f*** you "well Walt you want Jesse working for me, okay but you can now f*** off as he can cook and i don't need you"

Obviously this is discounting the idea that Gus planned to double cross Walt all along, but if Walt had been a team player Gus seemed like he would have no reason to screw him over. (and that Mike conversation above would be moot so i don't think Gus was planning to f*** him over at the beginning)

MASSIVE BB SPOILERS FOR JUST ABOUT EVERY SEASON BELOW

The only reason Walt wanted Jesse instead of Gale is because of Jesse's threat to press charges against Hank and because Jesse had threatened to use Walt as his 'get out of jail free' card in the almost inevitable event that Jesse gets caught doing his own cook. Basically by that stage Jesse was 'f*** Walt' and almost wanted to be caught due to the emotional stress he was suffering. Remember that even back then Walt was just using Jesse and manipulating him at every turn. I do believe that Walt cares about Jesse on some level. That almost makes it more callous the way he uses him as nothing more than a pawn.

Jesse killing Gale was the watershed moment, but what really started the s*** rolling downhill was when Walt killed those two dealers on behalf of Jesse. The reason Jesse wanted to kill those dealers was admirable, though. They had murdered a child, the brother of the woman he was dating, even after he had received word from Gus that no more children would be involved. Now if I was a TV character (irl I would have left town as soon as I met Tuco) I would have done the same thing. It was a morally justified action and I don't consider it stupidly rocking the boat.

I do admit that the Walt/Jesse interactions in the earlier part of the show are open for interpretation as to who was stupid and who was doing the right thing, but I think that just about everything in the latter part of s4 and s5 has been Walt being an unspeakable c*** and Jesse redeeming himself as not only a smart dude but also a good dude. He was a loyal and trustworthy partner to Mike, a good father figure for Brock, a loving partner for Andrea and a generous mate for his bros. Meanwhile Walt is poisoning kids, killing Jesse's father-figure, ordering the death of other kids, refusing to pay-out Jesse (although he does eventually) and just lying and manipulating people at every turn including his own son in the latest episode. Walt is a monster and he needs to be stopped.

I wondered whether Saul's "new identity guy" might actually be a set-up i.e. a trip to Belize for Jesse; the scene in the desert just prior to setting up Jesse's departure was super tense for that reason.
I doubt this because he let his target just walk away if this was the case. Before Mike died I thought that the disappear guy might actually be him.

Can't seem to spoiler tag properly =\They didn't seem to realise he was shouting at them so not sure they'd have responded if he'd said they were DEA. Somehow we have to get to the point, I suspect, where it is public knowledge that Walt is Heisenberg (next door neighbour dropping her groceries at the sight of him, house trashed etc).

Or alternatively perhaps he might stage/fake his own death, it's widely reported and then he shows up, hence the dropped bags.

It doesn't seem like Hank and Gomi could possibly survive. I thought that the phone call to Hank's wife seemed a little ominous, perhaps a final goodbye?

I hadn't considered that Todd would die, but instead that at the end of the series he would step in and fully "fill" Walt's shoes, a sort of hydra head type scenario where the cook would go on regardless after Walt succumbed to the cancer. My guess is that Vince will try to show that this whole thing is just one colourful episode in an ongoing and neverending cycle of drugs, money and violence. I guess that's sort of already happened but perhaps with Walt and Jesse dead (foreshadowed by the pic show to Huel?) the 'bad guys win' scenario may be the way they end it.

Still not sure how Lydia fits in to the endgame but I suspect she will receive a bullet at some point. Will Vince Gilligan end up killing off the majority of the cast?

I can't believe there's only 3 eps to go and still so many questions.

Speculation:

I think only Gomez will die in the shootout (he's the only person to not turn bad at all according to Talking Bad). Hank and Jessie will be taken with Walt, with Hank very injured. His wife will tell the feds what was going on. Jessie might blurt to the Nazi's about the money.

Walt needs the big gun and the poison to take on the Nazi's not the Feds. Maybe threatening to kill himself with the poison.

Like you two pussies wouldn't have taken up Hank's offer. The only reason Jesse went nuts is because of Brock. Once Hank had him at Walt's place he only had a choice between dropping the match/lighter and getting shot/burned alive, surrendering and staying quiet which means Walt gets away with everything, or co-operating.

Jesse should know, as a long term drug user/dealer/meth chef, that talking to the po po is a no no and the fact that he has willingly collaborated and cooperated with Hank is disappointing cos I always kinda liked Jesse.

And yes snitch = ditch, you are quite right. I was thinking of b******. B****** get the stitches. No wonder they say pimpin ain't easy, streets is hard, real G's betta recognize, etc... so many rhyming code of conduct phrases to remember.

What, Jesse was being a punk ass b**** long before that, and the brock thing was Walts attempt to control him, hell Walt would probably be dead and Jesse would be cooking for Gus without that play.

Walt's place he only had a choice between dropping the match/lighter and getting shot/burned alive,
Hmm or neither and get arrested, do a possible few months for vandalising the house (which walt wouldn't wouldnt even press charges). (oh and i realise a character won't always think clearly and do what's best, and what Jesse did was his choice, but i do not think it was in any way the best choice he could have made)

Jesse has been a b****y little thorn in Walts life for ages, not that Walt deserves better or anything.. but i think Jesses "whiny revenge" rather than maybe just some good old fashioned "cold revenge" was summed up pretty well by walt, coward

Although the tricking Walt was kinda good, but i was half expecting walt to go "huh those trucks dont have GPS, why do you think i chose the company?" And Walts "love"/blindspot for Jesse did him in (again) with the foreshadowing "he isnt a rat" then admitting to everything on a phone call.

Yeah but he was standing on the side of the road ready to disappear forever when he had the Brock revelation. Then he went into rabid dog mode. Walt being dead and Jesse cooking for Gus sounds like a pretty sweet deal for Jesse to me. Definitely better than the debacle that has occurred as a result of Gus' death.

Well you cunningly edited out the bit where I said surrender and not co-operate which would allow Walt to get away with everything. Maybe Hank would have been able to crack the case or possibly the DEA could have but who knows? There is no way Jesse would ever be able to get to Walt while he has every DEA agent (or even just Hank) in the country watching him so revenge was taken off the table.

edit: and I am entering full Breaking Bad apologist mode here, but there are different ways to film a shoot-out scene. One is the realistic way which would have had the shoot-out ending in about 5 seconds with Hank and Gomi dead and maybe one or two Nazis dead. Another way is to sort of 'slow down time' while still showing the scene at full speed. Think of the first 1/4 mile race in Fast and the Furious. It's 10 seconds (or less) of racing expanded into minutes. Unrealistic, yes, but a much more engaging way to film a scene in regards to audience enjoyment.

To be honest though, I wouldn't have minded a five second shoot-out at the end there. Might have been too abrupt of an end for such a major character, though

Well yeah, but go back one more step and its Jesse dead/walt cooking. (if Walt lets Gus take care of junkie problem)

Also whats the edit button for if not misquoting and taking people out of context? Happens when you scan a page sometimes, still think Jesses had the choice to not be a rat, but as i said he isn't always going to make the 100% best choice (i.e. not be a b****), like Walt losing it and making a beeline for the money

Well that brings us back to the Jesse killing Gale moment. That had to be the thing that changed Gus' mind about Jesse, prompting the promotion (of sorts) from cook to soldier. Gus was right too because Jesse was as cold as ice on his trip to Mexico.

I guess I wouldn't be a very good gangster, because if I knew someone was a murderer I'd pretty much go to the police straight away. Jesse was a gangster though, and a competent if not exceptional one, so I guess it does kind of suck that he is working with the Feds. I really don't think he had much of a choice though. He was off his dial during his little house warming party as well.

Agreed.

It's been a great series with a lot of well planned plots and twists etc but a couple of things really made the series look bad overall imo.

1. The shootout. FFS c'mon, 8 or so guys with a steady aim with f*** off guns (and who are accustomed to killing) on two dudes standing out n the open and they miss?

2. Chicken man walking out of the room after the blast with half a face... ummmmm

3. Way back in series one or two when the fat dude gets his arm stuck under the crushed car where he buried his mate after Tuco went to town on him. I can't remember the actual specifics but it just didn't hold water that he went back and Tuco didn't know anything about it.

4. After the shoot out in the desert between Hank and Tuco. Wouldn't the cops have combed the crime scene and found the two cell phones (Jesse's and Walt's) that Tuco threw twenty metres from the house? Surely that is relevant easy to find evidence....

As I said it's been a great show with some cool plot and planning etc but then gets let down by some really bad over sights and 'Hollywoodness'.

Jesse's character only exists as a counterplay to Walter White, the early part of the series he acts as comic relief/shenanigans, while towards the latter part of the series he's Walter's externalised conscience.
I doubt he's in any danger in this shootout but either way he or Walter must die at the end, most likely the latter.

It's hard to say, they did ask to see badges when they arrived but that might have simply been a tactic to get Hank and Gomey to lower their guard. At any rate, if they didn't care if Walt mentioned they were DEA on the phone, then they probably won't care if Walt yells it out during this showdown.

Walt should have said f*** the lot of you and headed for the border with his $11 Mill. Could have bought himself a new Mexican Skyler and had change for a burrito.

Also WW Jnr's epic madface.

Meth slave Jesse is pretty f***ed.

Was half expecting Uncle Jack to have a quick word with Creepy Todd, waste the rest of his own crew and take all the cash, but then he would have probably killed Walt and Jesse and left us with two eps of black screen, so in hindsight unlikely.

I also thought Walt's phone call had an ulterior motive i.e. to protect Skyler from the cops and to shoulder the blame himself. Sif you would, he should have totally set her up as the kingpin cos she wouldn't GET IN THE F*****G CAR FFS.

I went and listened to the phone call again and yeah he definitely knew what he was saying in the call and taking all the blame. First time I watched it I thought he just lost the plot and was in full angry mode. Should have known better... his character is calculating to the end

I reckon Walt, after setting up a new life, will stumble upon people still selling his blue meth and realize they have Jesse cooking. Especially since he knew the Nazis were having trouble cooking the good stuff with Todd as they asked Walt to return to cooking. So he'll return to save Jesse with that big ass gun? I don't know why he'd care though.. he fkn hates Jesse now.. maybe he wants to kill Jesse himself?

Jesse will get out of it by doing a bad cook that will make a big boom.

Going by reload's pic above it does seem like Jesse's story ends in a huge bang.

WW is not coming back for Jesse. He's happy the little c*** is miserable, and so he should be, rat bastard. Shoulda taken the way out d*******.

Its pretty clear that the White family goes into hiding when news of WW's secret identity comes out. Big old Heisenberg graffiti on the wall makes that clear imo.

So, something happens to Jesse and he can't cook anymore (escapes, suicides, goes mad, gets sick or something).

The Nazis don't really give a s*** though, they've got 70M and can make some basic meth. But the Eastern European psychos that whats-her-name is selling Jesse's blue to go apes*** over the end of the supply, stand over her for the whole story and come to America to sort s*** out. They track down the White family and use them to bring WW back in.

Hopefully Marie dies.

According to Talking Bad it ended just days before Walt's birthday

Poor Jessie. Narking was bad but he didn't deserve that

The whole Jessie thing was pretty harsh but to be fair they did hint that would be the consequence if he tried anything. The ricin seemed like it would most likely be for Lidia but I'm thinking there might be a chance now it would be for one or both of the grey matter guys after basically saying on national tv Walt played no part in their business apart from the name, he seemed pretty pissed off. He's never said he's actively targeting Lidia either, he's made it clear he's going after the nazi's and assumes Jessie has been taken care of but that's about it. I think the only way in the final episode he's going to target Lidia is if she continues to go after Skyler.

The reason he got angry when listening to that was hearing about the blue meth still being out there. He knows that Jesse is still alive and that the nazis didn't kill him like they promised. That means he wants to not only kill them but finish Jesse off as well.

An absolutely broken Jesse will help him realise the error of his ways.

Every single prediction I make about this show ends up being wrong and I don't expect this to change.

Yeah I'm not sure about that, Walt has acted irrationally a number of times on the show at the thought of others taking credit for his work which plays into the whole Heisenberg ego persona. The Gale thing with Hank is a perfect example, guess we only have a week to wait to find out. I could be way off base though, the show continually throws curve balls you never see coming.

Walt finally realizes that giving cash to his family is impossible and pointless because (a) They can't use it because the feds are all over them and (b) Monga son has told him to f*** off and die and won't except Walt's dirty drug money.

Walt now knows that Jesse is probably still alive and Lydia is still active due to the blue meth report on the telly.

So Walt figures that the best way to spend the last few months of his life is to help and protect his family and save Jesse.

He will do this by :
(a) Poisoning Lydia somehow so that she won't attempt to kill Skylar whom she thinks will rat her out to the feds.
(b) Attacking the Nazi compound with homemade bombs and the M60 machine gun.

All Walt has is vengeance now, his epic plan is a complete fail.

He gets the ricin to make sure that he can die on his own terms. Its clearly a suicide pill now.

I reckon he will come across Jesse who is now just a ball of rage and they'll team up to take out the Nazis out of convenience and shared fury.

In the end the firefight brings down the heat and Walt is finally taken down, either by gunfire or the ricin or the ricin after gunfire and capture. The DEA has their guy (and $70M) so the heat is lifted off Skylar. Flash forward to a few years later and things are s***, Sylar is doing some mindf*** job for jerks or something and mongo boy needs treatment blah blah life sucks. New Identity guy comes through and gives the family the leftover money and new life offer which they accept.

Hopefully Marie dies.

I was discussing this with a friend the other night, Marie is by that the most annoying character in the show and I'm hoping she does get killed off but I can't think of any possible scenario where that might happen unless it's accidental.

I had this feeling Skyler might get killed somewhere in all this and Marie will end up taking the kids since she's pretty much wanted them since the beginning of the show. Don't do it Vince.

What's the hate on the son?

Considering what Walt has done, like been responsible for death of more people than I can remember, lied to him and his Mum, I think his behaviour is justified, isn't it?

Walt's a dirty premeditating criminal, he deserves the son's hate.

I don't think he will kill Jesse. I think it is a toss up between the nazis and his ex business associates. I think the last ep had an excellent ending. Left you thinking what is he gonna do? You know he intends to kill some jerks but who? And will he be able to do it? Worse ending would be if he went to shoot up the nazis or who ever they shoot him dead before he can even start, then carry on like he was just some common has-been junkie.

because the television programme breaking bad is nearly coming to a end i have gone and done some pictures of some of the most important characters that is in it and the first one that i have gone and done is called flynn and he plays the cute teen character in breaking bad. his real name isnt really called flynn because his real name is actually called walt junior but he just prefers for people to call him flynn because it rhymes with skin and it is just what he prefers and i like him the most of all because he is kind like me and he is sensitive like me and he has got lovely thick dark brown hair like me and his best thing to have in the morning time is some breakfast like me and he loves waking up in the morning time and feeling completely starved from the night before and he always says that hunger is the best sauce and he is right because hunger really is the best sauce because it can make any food taste delicious especially breakfast and my best episode that flynn was in was the shopping centre episode when flynns dad who is called walt took him shopping one day out of the blue and he just said son we are going shopping for some new outfits and you can choose whatever outfit that you like son because it is your day today son and flynn couldnt believe it because he kept on saying that he couldnt believe it when they was in the car and when flynn was trying on loads of new outfits in h & m it was so funny because he kept on coming out of the changing room wearing some ladies swimming costumes that he found and he kept on putting his hands on his hips and saying what do you think of this one dad in a really funny voice and he kept on having a snap of the elastic between his thighs and saying snap when he was doing it and his dad was just staring at him and he was trying not to laugh but they both just kept on bursting out laughing every time that flynn was snapping the elastic between his thighs and it made me feel so happy to see them both together having fun and laughing with each other and not constantly being stressed thinking about cooking diamonds and death and i know that walt has hurt flynn even as much as any cancer ever could have done but i hope that flynn will one day be able to understand that all of the death and all of the diamonds and all of the horrible lies was all for him so that he will be able to have a better life for himself in the future and be able to afford nicer outfits and not have to look really poor and common when he is a grown up

It was also nice that Walt did right by Jessie in the end and even took a bullet for him.

I refuse to watch the dexter finale because I've had a gut full of the show and decided I would feel better if I didn't watch it. The show hasn't been truly good since the trinity killer season, whatever that was. The one with the religious nut was also half decent.

I'm guessing Marie would have offered to take them all in, but Skylar was too proud and just told her to Shut Up repeatedly, beyond the point of absurdity.

i will give them the credit that is due

the ending was as well written and thought out as most of the show, and unlike say dexter, the characters stayed true to form

I also like that they didn't give into the pressures to continue, everything that needed to be wrapped up was, and the stuff that wasn't wrapped up (like finding hank) was eluded to nicely, and the stories of walt jnr, holly etc didn't need anymore than they were given

i'm guessing that better call saul isn't going to use much from this story. if it doesn't this could make a great spin off (remember NCIS is like a JAG spin off, man I really had the hots for catherine bell in that.....wait september is over right, we can fap again!!!!!!!!!!!)

F*** spoiler tags, you're in here at your own risk.

Marie is the widow of a hero cop who died recently on duty. Skylar is the wife of a psycho meth king whose assets have been seized by the Gubment and is facing charges for helping him do his Heisenberg thing.

Bummed that they didn't find a way to kill Marie, but Walt would have been out of character to go there, he genuinely mourned Hank so why would he dust Marie (annoying b**** that she is). Had to be the Nazis if it was going to happen.

The end was OK but there weren't any big shocks. Walt kicked the s*** out of the Nazis and found a way to bequeath his money to mongo and team, Lydia got rolled, Jesse got away. It had little bit too much of a 'everything wrapped up now yay' aspect to it. It was a bit too obvious that Walt had a trigger for some sort of automated killdozer, I was looking for more of a Gustavo Fring asplosion moment here and they didn't quite get there.

I had a worried moment there that Jesse would get the 70M, Walt issuing the final STFU while Jack was making his case was probably the best bit of the episode.

That was f*****g awesome. The best bit was when it turned out the two hitmen were Jesse's dropkick mates.

I considered Ozymandias the finale, the final two episodes were the epilogue. Still enjoyed the f*** out of them however.

I thought it was ok, and a mostly satisfying end to what has been a great TV show.

I guess I was expecting something a bit different from a show that has continually delivered surprising, unconventional yet believable plot twists. I guess a neat ending that wraps up all arcs and ties up loose ends might be considered by Breaking Bad standards to be unconventional, so there's that.

I mean, I'm not criticising the way they ended it necessarily; I think it's certainly a perfectly acceptable way to end the series. I just thought they might do something crazy like have a bunch of loose ends tie up only to have Walt suddenly shot in the head by the Nazis before he could grab the keys and then the whole sad fact that lives have been ruined is played out:
Jesse capped unceremoniously, Skyler alone and struggling, the Nazis continue to profit and make meth perpetuating the bad guys win/no justice theme.

You know, like how life never really works out and is tied up with a ribbon, it's messy and things don't always go to plan. Sure it would have been a much more bleak, down ending (and probably would have enraged most of the sheep fans who want the "good" guy to win - and let's face it, Walter won. Sure he f***ed things up but he achieved his goal and vanquished his enemies) but I would have kinda liked to see Vince Gilligan throw a final spanner in the works.

Anyway, that's just my opinion but the way it all turned out wasn't bad. there was a slight suspension of disbelief there though - that Walt could just roam freely and get s*** done on his last day even though he was a wanted man whose family etc was being watched so closely, but meh, whatever. Still good and didn't detract from an outstanding TV show.

More like this please.

I thought it was a great ending to a great series. More to the point, I thoroughly enjoyed that they didn't lumberjack it.

The only thing I thought of after watching the finale was why did Walt tell Lydia what he poisoned her with, or that he poisoned her at all? She knew about Ricin, and the fact that its a slow moving poison means she potentially could have just got taken to hospital and told them what she was (or might have been - if Walt didn't tell her specifically) poisoned with, with a chance to make a recovery.

I just thought it was a bit out of character for Walt to go spilling the beans now since he has been a very hush hush about everything he has done through the series (until he was discovered in some way).

Fantastic series anyway, and I'm sure I'll be rewatching it at some point.

I would have liked a "real" epilogue. I love epilogues - what happens AFTER? I would love to know what happened to Skylar and Walt Jr and Saul and everyone else.

Overall it was good, if a bit sort of ... well rounded. I am undecided as to whether I liked it more than, say, Sopranos, which is very different.

Oh, yeah... for some reason I was thinking he poisoned Brock with Ricin, but now I remember it was that flower. Nevermind that then, makes sense.

for some reason I was thinking he poisoned Brock with Ricin

Jessie told brocks mum to tell the hospital it was ricin originally, thats when he was red flagged by the feds.

I thought the ending wrapped up quite nicely though, the last episode kept with the style and pace of the rest of the series so it was really quite a suitable ending.

One thing I would have liked to known, is what happened to Bill Burr. He's Saul's other henchman, Huell's counterpart and a damn funny comedian in real life. Saul just mentioned he disappeared without a trace like Huell but we only got to find out what happened with Huell.

I don't think Saul mentioned he split, I am pretty sure that's what Hank told Huell. Just for extra nit-picky, the guys who flagged Jesse for ricin were APD, not the FBI.

Also, as the official spokesperson for team Jesse, I would like to hereby claim victory and all the spoils that go with.

What spoils? The millions you threw out of your s***box car in a tantrum? Your dead girlfriends brains splattered all over the pavement? Your b****ing torture scars? The young boy you are pining over who has probably forgotten about you and is in some foster home somewhere?

Seems to me like Jesse must have been picked up by the cops anyway. Hes speeding away down a small dirt road, while cops are coming the other way up the small dirt road? Wouldn't they be likely to pull over or chase anyone they saw speeding away from the scene?

Bah, you're right on both counts :) All good, go nit-picky on me, details matter in this show. I could swear Saul mentioned Bill Burr's character, I had to go back and double check.

Hopefully he moves to AU to cook.

I guess the ending was alright, basically what I expected:
Jesse kill Todd
Walt kill Jack
Walt kill Lydia
and Jesse is the only survivor, after all he basically started it all so I thought him living was a given.

The only bit I didn't think of was the Grey Matter partners. I assumed he was going to bag them too but forcing them to do the dirty work was better.
