Lots of excitement has come out at comic-con about a Once Upon A Time spinoff called Once Upon A Time in Wonderland!
It stars John Lithgow (only the best actor ever) as the White Rabbit and Naveen Andrews (Sayid from Lost) as the villain Jafar. Just like Once Upon A Time it is based on Disney cartoons, and features references to Lost. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Once_Upon_a_Time_in_Wonderland |
Awwwwesome, seriously looking forward to this. Once Upon a Time and The Newsroom are currently my "must watch immediately" shows - Jennifer Morrison and Robert Carlisle are great in the former. It's certainly a shame though that this one doesn't seem to have any name actors in it that will instantly make it something people want to flock to, so they'll have to earn their reputations in it. Also a bit of a shame they re-cast some of the roles (Red Queen, Hatter etc).
Doesn't matter though, Though the Looking Glass will always have awesome content. |
I do quite love this show, and, knowing them, they'll somehow find the most supernaturally good looking cast ever.
Wasn't sure though, the genie seems like it might have been Baelfire? |
i watched the first episode of once upon a time when it first aired and really couldn't get into it.

It was one of those shows with a bad first episode. It was always corny, but not campy like the very beginning.

Mate, OUAT is not based on Disney cartoons. Jeez.
Disney may have made *some* of the stories more famous. |
Is Once Upon a Time good? Should be watched? No and No My sister watched it religiously and sadly I caught enough of it to make me feel ill. This show is for women and guys that don't realize they haven't grown mentally since they were 8 years old. |
This show is for women and guys that don't realize they haven't grown mentally since they were 8 years old. Said on a forum of mostly guys who have hung around the same gaming forum for the last 15 years. Once Upon a Time is a show you'll find enjoyable if you grew up with fairy tales and the like. Or if you find Emilie de Raven hot. |
Mate, OUAT is not based on Disney cartoons. Jeez. This show has legal access to Disney franchises. So when they reference some story - they are referencing the "Disney version" of it. Also a bit of a shame they re-cast some of the roles (Red Queen, Hatter etc). I'm not aware of this. Red Queen wasn't in Once Upon A Time, and Mad Hatter hasn't been announced to be in this? |
Oh she plays the Queen Of Hearts too. I dunno then. Perhaps there will still be continuity by implying that Cora was not the real/original Queen Of Hearts.
edit: I’m ashamed to admit that my Alice knowledge is sub-par, because when I first saw that I thought “Waaaait… isn’t that who Once‘s Cora is in Wonderland?” But no. Cora is the Queen of Hearts, the baddie in Alice in Wonderland; the Red Queen is the baddie in Through the Looking-Glass. They’re completely different characters. And we’ll probably be seeing both of them: Once co-creator Adam Horowitz told TV Line “We can’t imagine visiting that time in Wonderland and not seeing Cora as the Queen of Hearts.” http://www.themarysue.com/once-upon-a-time-alice-in-wonderland-red-queen-white-rabbit/ |
Said on a forum of mostly guys who have hung around the same gaming forum for the last 15 years. I grew up with the very same fairy tales and i didnt find the show to have a single redeeming feature. Then again i am not prone to being sucked into a show/movie just because of an odd bit of eye candy in the form of a hot chick. |
