Specifically publisher NetEase and its two mobile games Rules of Survival and Knives Out. Which, for the purposes of this article are blatant PUBG rip-offs. That's obvious. But then again, copying mechanics or gameplay styles isn't exactly illegal. Which makes aspects of this new lawsuit somewhat silly - in that PUBG is claiming that the use of a frying pan as a weapon is unique to Battlegrounds. As is jumping out of planes, the shrinking map, and locations like farms.

And that these are all protected under IP laws or some such. The lawsuit even mentions the use of "Winner Winner Chicken Dinner" by both titles as making use of a phrase that has become synonymous with PUBG.

The lawsuit comes after PUBG Corp attempted to settle its dispute outside of legal action, including submitting complaints to Apple in order to get both games removed from the App Store. As per the lawsuit, "PUBG has suffered irreparable harm as a result of Defendants' infringing activities and will continue to suffer irreparable harm in the future unless Defendants are enjoined from their infringing conduct".
