There's no denying that PUBG on PC has somewhat of a problem with cheating, from aim-bots to recoil reduction to, well, any number of measures to ensure an unearned meal comprised of poultry. A new update which is rolling out soon for PUBG on PC aims to combat cheating, and developer Bluehole has detailed what players can expect.

Whilst also noting that "Play Fair and Respect Other Players" is a principle around which the game is built.

We deeply sympathize with the inconvenience that our players are experiencing due to cheat programs and we are doing our best to fight those who create, distribute and use cheats. Our top goal is to create an environment that facilitates smooth and unhindered enjoyment of all the aspects of PUBG.

The solution? Or, steps towards a less cheaty PUBG experience is the creation of a dedicated anti-cheat team and the development of a new internal solution. With the main focus so far being to block unauthorised programs. Including helper programs that change or alter graphics in the game. With Bluehole noting:

Some programs that do not affect gameplay may be blocked temporarily as we hone the new anti-cheat features. We are checking the programs that are being blocked on the test servers and will allow the use of harmless programs as quickly as possible.

The in-game reporting system is being updated to help the team investigate issues faster, with additional emphasis also being placed on detecting file modifications. Strangely, one additional measure is being taken. The blocking of Steam's account sharing functionality for PUBG. Apparently they've identified a number of vulnerabilities with how it works.

Naturally, the comments following the post are filled with the text "Region Lock China".
