Non premium players and CR servers.
Hopefully someone knows the answer to this question. In BF3 if someone didn't have any of the expansions they could still play on a server with them as long as the map running at the time was something they had.
In BF4 we have a clan member who doesn't have premium but it seems he still can't load onto our server even if the currently running map is a vanilla one. Is this by design of does he have a seperate problem? Thanks... |

I don't have a definite answer, but it seems that if the server has any of the China Rising maps in the map rotation is is marked as a China Rising server and people without that DLC cannot join. I assume this is by design.

I can confirm,you need to own the DLC to join a server with China Rising maps in rotation.

Bugger. I was afraid of that.
This early access idea is a bloody stupid one. Dice is making it so that some of our Clan members can't play with us just because they can't afford to pay $60 right after spending $80. |
