My server crashed twice tonight when full and this is the message. What is going on?
Can it be fixed? You moved my server due to performance issues. It would appear this hasn't had any affect given that I fill a server only for it to crash and can't join again. |

many ppl get this and its all over ea support forums and battlelog forums, still happens in BF3 with no fix Not Ausgamers side as its seem A couple ways to fix is 1- Turn of/on the modem or 2-Go to Command Prompt and enter ipconfig /flushdns press enter 3-Dont run Procon on same network it will lower the chance getting it Can it be fixed? Its up to ED/Dice to Fix it |
Error Game disconnected: client closed down connection. well everyone got kicked not just me so I don't think Procon is to blame. I have no option but to run Procon on the same network. |

Everyone gets the server crash and players get the kick , Its up to ED/Dice to Fix it. There up to the 11th server patch fixing the problems Most likely Server moving to another machine is from to many server on one host and was moved to help with the lag at peak times The game itself is buggy and expect more crashes. |
We are experiencing the EA disconnects frequently since around the R10 patch.
This will kick all players from server and when they attempt to rejoin all players will receive the "client closed down connection". We will have to restart the server atleast 2 times (sometimes up to 5) to allow players to join again. This issue has multiplied over the last 2 days. 10 disconnects in the last 19.5 hours,server full and requiring multiple restarts each time. |

I think its just losing connection with EA server. Are you on the same box as me 203.46.105.21? |
This isn't normal behaviour. I'm not seeing anything in our logs about any back end disconnections. I have noticed that some customers are restarting their servers really frequently (I've changed how the log files are saved to compensate) but I can't see why.
What would be really helpful is if you could give me the the exact time, IP and Port of the server when that happens so I can read the logs in detail to see what is reported, then get back to DICE with it. BTW, for those who don't know, BF4 logs astonishing amounts of data in text files - I'm talking easily over 150Mb per day on busy servers. I live and breathe this stuff (and have for years), but it isn't possible to review a log file in detail without a really accurate time. One of the files I'm looking at right now (testing additions to my log parser to really lock in on servers that aren't perfoming well so I can fix them) is over 1 MILLION lines. A random 5 minute period has 10,464 lines of data. |

Hey Malthius, My server 203.46.105.21:21500 has been disconnecting and kicking all players alot over the last few days. (server is not crashing) We are at the 7th time today so far. After each disconnect nobody is able to rejoin the server until it has been restarted several times. I have defaulted the startup config,disabled all plugins etc with no change. This has been happening since around the time R10 was deployed. Edit: The exact times would be only seconds before the server was stopped and restarted in my logs. Help :) Cheers. |
Thanks max, that's let me pin it down to a few thousand lines, I'll dig through and see what I can find / report to DICE. I'll keep you up to date.

Bit of an update: I've definitely found the lines in the log files that relate to this issue. It isn't something I've seen before, so I'll have to package them up and ask DICE for assistance with troubleshooting.

looks like my turn to experience this! 4th crash of today... sydney 24x7 and egl still up while mines crashed twice... wonder if its my procon plugins?
also my 32 player doesnt get this thank goodness! |
has anyone else noticed after these crashes and then a manual reboot that once you open procon it has you player numbers maximum set too 2 players

Hey, Yea that gotta sux a bit, Cant wait for update from DICE about it. My server get a 5am auto restart and it comes up with that error so I have to manual restart so ppl can join. |
If you look at your server within the browser and it shows the "Failed to load scoreboard" msg,nobody will be able to join and will receive the error "client closed connection". Once the server is accepting players again it will show the scoreboard. Just a hint when restarting after a disconnect. :) Cheers. |
server has been full most of today which is good but dredding 6pm when it seems to happen... also another highly popular server on the same host as mine has not experienced this issue... very interested to see what DICE/AUS come up with!

About 8/9pm and around 8/9am seem to be when we start seeing the issue occur. Our server didn't stop misbehaving till 3PM. Would get maybe 20/30min max before it would disconnect. Running without a hitch for 4hrs atm. :) Edit: i knew i shouldn't have written that last line... lol |

Talked to DICE about this last night, and provided two of their engineers a complete copy of Dremark's server (all log files, config files, punkbuster files, unique ID etc.) for them to dig into. I haven't heard back yet, but I'll bug them tonight (friday day their time) to see if they have anything for us.

My 64 slot server been crap all day hardcore lagging to beyond a joke and end up crashing and
2nd time crash 20 mins ago with other server that was empty at time also crash without a crash report plus with a friend teamspeak on different ip crash at same time to :/ wired and they say taking to many pb screenshot was causing the poor performance for your server gotta say server was running better befor pb screenshot was disable on me |
I've been full all day! How about you dremark? Hey mate, We had a disconnect this morning around 2am. Once populated again,it ran ok. 1 crash at midday then a few disconnects at around 9 and 10 tonight. |
Just ran all the log files (last week I updated our log parsing / monitoring program to look for any unexplained player drops) and while this is still going on, there were less of these sorts of drops over the weekend.
I'll continue to hound DICE for answers :) |

6:47:51 QLD time Today Procon lost connection with- Connection error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 203.46.105.24:2050 At the same time handful of players strangely left server as was I with the error in battlelog- Error Game disconnected: client closed down connection. |

A recent drop in the Blaze backend will cause mass disconnects like this. It can be caused by a number of things, however we've been assured by EA and DICE that this has now been patched up, though if you continue getting disconnects let us know and we'll investigate further with DICE.

Hi, Ive got 2 servers with you. Both servers have crashed twice today. Both resulting in the server booting all people off the server, and not being able to rejoin the server again with "Error Game disconnected: client closed down connection." Please look at my gamecreate, 5 minuate average statistics to see what i mean.
