Payment Methods
Will Ausgamers be looking at alternative payment methods at all like paypal?
We run a clan which uses member donations to pay for all of it's services. Donations are made to out clan paypal account. Right now I have to pay for the servers on my own CC, then do a paypal to paypal transfer, which kinda grinds my gears. It'd be nice if there were more than just one payment option. I can't be alone in this situation surely, as a lot of servers will be rented to gaming clans / communities? |

Hey there,
We are currently looking into supporting a number of payment options in the future, including PayPal, however we don't currently have an exact ETA just yet. Don't worry though, we are looking into these different options and are eager to get them running as soon as possible because we know how much you guys are in need of these! |

Agreed. It was the sole reason my clan went with servers from another GSP. AusGamers was our first choice otherwise.

PayPal is being actively developed right now, and as soon as I approve the scoping document for clanpay donations that will be worked on as well.

I assume cc payments are automatic and Ausgamers will notify us that our servers have been paid for the month?
We are also looking forward to a donation system that will preserve anonymity, since it becomes a burden for one person. |

No ETA on Paypal. Part of the critical path on that is outside our control, and as it is the billing system we'll be running exhaustive tests. I'm thinking that January year is a likely ballpark ETA, though it could be sooner. The donation system will happen at the same time.
CC payments are automatic unless cancelled. IIRC you'll get a reminder a few days before you are billed just as a courtesy, but the billing will happen at the end of the period regardless. |

We'll most definitely have new payment methods coming in early January, we're just ensuring its as secure as possible for customers to use!

We have a ClanPay system up and running on our test backend, and also just waiting on the handshaking from PayPal. I should have more on where we are at tomorrow.

Hey AU_Bandit!
We're currently working on a large update for the AusGamers Server Rentals site, and it's nearly complete. You can read about some of the stuff that is being implemented in this Upcoming Patch 1.1 thread. Unfortunately I can't give an exact date, other than a very vague "soon". I know we've said that earlier, however since then the scope of the update has grown to include more features and will now be releasing as one larger update. So while we're extremely keen to get these new features out, there are still a handful of release breaking bugs we need to fix and a couple more things that need some polishing before we can throw this out there. |
