This morning I changed the pop3 server that we run for qgl pop3 accounts, to be able to handle virtual domains properly - which is much better, but unfortunately it requires that your pop3 username be sent to the server in a different format from before, which means that you'll probably be getting a failed password error.
To send your username in the new format simply append @qgl.org to it. eg1: if your email address is 'buttwad@qgl.org' and your username was 'buttwad', your username is now 'buttwad@qgl.org' - your password stays the same as it already was. eg2: if your email address was 'soapscum@lugnutz.com' and your username was 'soapscum', your username is now 'soapscum@lugnutz.com'. If you still experience problems after trying this new username format, email jason@qgl.org from another account, or catch me on irc - efnet #ausgamers Note: People using Netscape for email may find that it still doesn't work - if so, replace the @ in your new username with the percent character % eg: 'buttwad%qgl.org' |
