The AusGamers Counter-Strike server has been upgraded. |

things that suck so far:
- The release was a joke ; most mirrors couldn't get the mod version for ages after the official release due to a total lack of cluez from cliffe and his buddies. Valve nicely tried to help out with the mod version but accidentally f***ed up and uploaded corrupted versions, which led to much hilarity. - rcon protocol appears to have changed which means my remote rcon tools have stopped working - no friendly fire mirroring or TK management (at least none that I've found yet), wtf! WTF! Are you _kidding me_?! |

Would someone mind telling me how I can make my CS installation work? It tells me I have the " " language version installed and this is for english installation.
CS 1.0.0.4 Full of GameArena. Gotta love that. |

What kind of a way of doing an update is this? Am I correct in saying that no one can play until they have the update (which atm is impossible for me at least to get) ?Wouldn't it have been more sensible to allow ppl to download the update for a few days before upgrading the servers?

SOF2...is average :/ Expert commentary, that. The most average thing about the SOFII demo atm is the skill level of ppl playing. Like, wtf is wrong with this picture when I can run around with 400 ping and deny 90% of the people on the server? Someone decent with cable joins and I can see a repeat of the 3wave "OMG this is too hard gonna go back to vanilla ctf" syndrome. Which would be a shame, as it's pretty gnarly, especially teamdm. And another off topic thing, wtf is with the people who are out in the open in sofII who suddenly crouch. IT DOESNT WORK. DONT DO IT, YOU JUST GET KILLED FASTER. |

Gobo's SOFII comments are right on. It seems alot of players cannot transfer their fps skills to SOFII.
They duck to fire and stay that way till someone is dead. When they fire they don't move. In SOFII, the accuracy doesn't go mental like CS if you move around. Please use this fact as an advantage. A better experience for all. |

-Turning your back on someone you think is a cainer and running away does not mean they won't shoot you in the back of your head -Don't crouch and hide in the office cubicles in the M60 room. If they're being nice, people will merely trap you in there and kill you. If theyre being cruel they will throw a grenade into the room and blow you to smithereens. -Don't seek to escape imminent death by running up a ladder. It doesn't make you invulnerable. -Crouching in the middle of open ground with the sniper rifle isnt going to work. -Neither is making a beeline for the helipad. -Nor is walking around the entire map -Or painstakingly crawling around the far metal pipe thing on the corner of the helipad. The grenade launcher that someone WILl pick up and WILL shoot near you will then pop you off the ledge and you will fall to your death -See the white boxes with a red cross? Dont avoid them, theyre actually useful -Dont insanely chase someone down and ignore the fact that another dude is behind you pouring lead into you -Aim at the head And in closing, don't, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, type "I own" when your final score is only about 10 frags ahead of someone 10x your ping. You look dumb. |

the links dont really have ANYTHING to do with notifying its the RETAIL ONLY patches, im not sure but i think you need the "mod user" ones... |

uve either got a f**ed dl, or u downloaded the wrong version of the update. remember there is 2 versions, retail and mod. 1.4 is mod, 1104 is retail.
if u bought half-life then dl'ed cs then u got mod. if u bought cs then u got retail. |

OK, well that's the third time i've downloaded csv1.4 from ausgamers files and the third time it's been f***ed on one file or another.
i also had to download hl 1109 twice before it downloaded without an error. whoever is in charge of the server limit - i think it is about time you set the number of users to a lower number because the servers seem to be puking badly |
