And that's one Sebastian Stepien who served as a creative director at Poland-based CD Projekt RED, the developers of The Witcher series, GWENT and the hotly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Stepien was most recently the lead writer on Cyberpunk 2077.

Which is a major coup for Blizzard. Whether this indicates all writing on Cyberpunk 2077 is complete, or if someone has now had to step into Stepien's lead writer shoes isn't known. Nor is there any indication on what he'll be working on at Blizzard beyond being poached to work in a "development capacity".

I've long held the stance that Cyberpunk 2077 is content-complete, and Stepien's departure certainly adds some credence to that. I mean, who walks away from arguably the most anticipated game of all time without finishing up their duties there? Or maybe Blizzard just offered him a gazillion dollars to move to Irvine and that was more than enough. We'll update you more if more news around this hire is released.
