Aus v India, first test, Adelaide Oval.
What's up with this pitch?
I thought we were doing well with them nearly all out on day one, until....
im not a fan of the hang around for ever approach. u need to be scoring runs. yes its a test match, yes its quality bowling, but u should wherever possible be looking to get to the other end, just so you are rotating strike and keeping things moving.
old mate from india had nearly 200 dot balls in his 100 runs. that is seriously impressive and requires control far beyond the mere mortal. australia should not be looking to play that way.
The days of Hayden, Ponting and Gilchrist hitting 600 in a day and a half are over. Someone grinding out a ton is the best we can hope for at least until Smith and Warner are back
Smarsh's dismissal was comically awful.
GOAT was looking awesome, but he ran out of friends :(
This is more like the cautious, low scoring test matches of the 1970s. It's been a very long time since we've seen such low scores combined with such super careful play.
Yes, by all means, defend your wicket, but don't do it with lazy singles perpetually that in one dayers you'd have them be comfortable doubles
Should I even book tickets for sydney new year tests this year? Are we competitive? I have pretty much given up on following everything since the ball tampering debacle.
india have never won in australia.
we'll need some quick wickets today, or more rain. ill be happy with either.
A thing may be happening.
gg India. Lyon is king.
There's some pretty disappointing performers in Australia's top order.
Good on the indians, they played a good game. And yeah, Nathan is the goat alright.
huge effort form our bowlers with the bat to get that close and give us even a half sniff of a chance.
yeah i was very surprised we got that close, but relying on the tail to put up that many runs and make it a close one is not great.
