World of Tanks -- that game/brand that just never quits, has signed itself up to the Arnold Pro Strongman Competition taking place in Melbourne this weekend (March 16-18). Enlisting competitors for a Guinness World Record attempt, the World of Tanks Team is challenging the strongmen to individually pull a tank for 10 metres.
The publicity surrounds the game's 1.0 update (which is kind of crazy when you think about it). Moreover, rather than just be a stunt for promotion, the activity will be the inaugural "World of Tanks PC Tank Pull". Here's the official lines on it all:
The Arnold Pro Strongman Australia, presented by World of Tanks PC, is part of the Arnold Sports Festival founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger and will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre from March 16-18. The ‘World of Tanks PC Tank Pull’ will be the fourth of six events in the professional strongman competition, held on Saturday 17th March at 12.00pm AEDT.Well, good luck gents. It's kind of hard to top such a mammoth effort with nerdy, sarcastic words from a scrawny old games journo like me -- so that's sincere :)
If only WarGaming would remove SPGs and remove premium ammo, they game might be worth playing again.
