N++ from Metanet offers up thousands of levels, all intricately designed to put your platforming and timing skills to the test. As the sequel to the popular N+ it's the sort of experience that might not be for everyone, but even so it's hard not to walk away impressed. Because after all, we gave the review to Adrian Haas who hasn't played this style of game since Super Mario Bros. on the NES.
The objective for each single-screen level is to maneuver your stick-figure ninja to unlock the exit and escape. The controls are pure platformer in their simplicity. Left thumbstick or D-pad controls movement, A button jumps. The longer you hold A the higher the jump. Simple right? Not so fast. Mid-air flight can be directed and all movement is affected by inertia. Gravity sucks and physics is an unforgiving b****. Hit the ground too hard? Dead. Hit the ceiling too hard? Dead. Wall-slide into a bomb? Yup, dead.
